The Thoughts and Exchanges of the Mages of Philadelphia
Yes! Hello! I'm playing Kaitlyn.

By day, she teaches low-level university courses in fringe and computer sciences at whatever local college one goes to when one is too poor, too lazy, or too dumb to get into a good school.

By night (but not too late at night, girl need her beauty sleep and there's classes to teach), she's a Virtual Adept, hacking away at the informational substructure of reality in order to drag everybody, kicking and screaming if necessary, into the promised land. Or something. She's still workshopping the mission statement. She'll get there eventually.

Hi Kaitlyn!

An adept, a chorister, and a druid... could be some tension  :)

Welcome Kaitlyn!

If John Constantine and John Wick had a baby that would be Donovan.

;)

No, he is not nearly so cool as all of that but that is the shorthand that I am using to explain my newest weirdest M20 experiment.

Hah! Love it! I'd never thought of it that way. Having just rewatched all of Parks and Rec, I think Michael is a magical version of Chris Traeger (Rob Lowe's character).

"Scientists believe that the first human being who will live 150 years has already been born. I believe I am that human being."

In honour of the mashup though, I should say Chris Traeger if he was raised by the Addams family.

I'd say, two Adepts.

On  similar note: hello, everyone! This seem like a merry bunch.

I will be preparing each player's 'Book of Shadows' which will be a mini whos-who in the city and background characters such as mentors, teachers and potential rivals.

Greetings everyone! Your resident Hermetic has arrived. Shaping into an interesting little mix here I have to say.

*Donovan hisses and spits at the hermetic in a suitably cat-like fashion.*

"Hermetic, get it off-get it off!"

Just kidding, welcome to the game! <3

Re: The Thoughts and Exchanges of the Mages of Philadelphia
Thanks!

And yeah, right?  Quite the setup.

VA hacker and professor, a Chorister, a former pro-athlete turned druid, another Adept? A Hermetic, and a Dreamspeaker.

There's a "...walk into a bar" joke here somewhere, I'm sure of it.

Sera's pretty easy to get along with, as long as you can get past the part where she's a little... Kaylee meets Drusilla. But she does great art and if anyone likes tattoos, she's a hella in-demand tattoo artist. :D

In reply to Serafina (msg # 24):

Tattoos? Yes, please! Perhaps your character has done some work on Donovan before?

That's quite possible!  It would make for an easy connection, too.

Sera is especially fond of fantastic and mythological imagery if that's your jam, though she'll draw whatever the client wants.  That sounds like a great starting point!

Re: The Thoughts and Exchanges of the Mages of Philadelphia
Cool! What about him having an angelic piece somewhere prominent, like on his front torso (chest and stomach) that he has been having work done.

He would be one of those annoying customers who is freakishly obsessed with minor details-but outside of the art piece he is a nice guy. Tips well and commissions work in segments. Doesn't seem to be too affluent.

Sounds excellent to me!

Black and white or color?

Pec(s) or ribs?

How many hours and trips have they spent chatting with one another?

Does he prefer the tattoo gun or traditional Japanese irezumi?

Re: The Thoughts and Exchanges of the Mages of Philadelphia
Sweet.

Donovan is a color guy, and the art will be pretty big starting at the top of his pecs and going down just pass his "no no zone"

I think we may have a good outline of the piece down with some color starting. Let's say about 30 hours in (5 six hour sessions). With some details and color going into the fiery feathers of the angel wings.

Oh and a tattoo gun.

:)

So, some extensive work and lots of time then.  Right on.
