I'm still up for any of them. Is there any skill that's clearly missing? Do we have anyone with Leadership or Tactics(Naval) (which are, admittedly, in different packages)? I thought about picking up leadership with my connections skills, but it didn't make any sense in context.

Now that my character sheet is done there are clearly actual skills I would love to have; deception, stealth, broker and persuade just to name a few.    These skills are in many other pkgs. besides A but since more votes are for it then that is where my overall vote will go and I'll take Deception 1 as a skill.

  Remember that you can get any two skill-ups of your choice (except JOAT) from Connections. That's a good place to pick up things that weren't part of your career.

If I am picking to fill what will best serve the group, I need more Admin (or Broker if Leroy is going to continue IC declaring himself not a broker, but that's for roleplay and he's much better at it than Alyx would be if I pick up one). Given that neither of those is in A, I could take something generally useful like more Persuade or pick up Medic.

The package skills just give you rank 1 of whatever it is. They don't (unfortunately) give +1, so if you already have something at rank 1 or higher they don't help (unless you use it to pick up a new specialization for skills that have those).

Connections don't have that limitation (although they still can't take a skill above rank 3).

I think we have to establish a skill picking order before we start picking skills.

Mine has 11 (inclusding connection skills).

I'd ideally need some kind of leadership/tactics skill.

Probably not, since the group size means that it's unlikely that we'll be missing anything critical between us.

Plus, the inevitable dropout rate on RPOL makes skill exclusion a risky business!

Here is statistics for 20 dt Launch.
Again, Mongoose had messed up stats. Maneuver Drive in their stats (High Guard pg 96) has mass 2 tonnes and cost 4 MCr, meanwhile, according to the rules (High Guard pg 14), the 1G drive on a 20 dt ship should have mass 0.2 tonnes and cost 0.4 MCr.

So there are two options for us:
a) The Launch on March Harrier has statistics according to the spacecraft rules (as in the google spreadsheet above);
b) The spacecraft rules are ignored and the Launch has statistics as stated in the rulebook (High Guard pg 96).

Ship Share purchases are always negotiated in increments of five and non-refundable so the Travellers must exercise caution. Spending them on route and revenue control should only be done if they intend to make a long-term commitment.


Revenue control gives increasing returns as you invest into it since you own a proportionally greater share of the revenues. It'd be nice to get to 15 since that's a big jump in effectiveness, but if we only have 12 we can still get the 5% increase and use the other two for something else. (It has two turrets IIRC, but could have more with that tonnage. Or we add another utility system in there somewhere.)

You'll need to negotiate fuel tanks for jump 2 to get out of the Trace.
