Aww. I did my shopping based on my homeworld tech level (12), so I'll have to edit it a bit. I went shopping based on a movie star's idea of what a spaceman would need, so it's not terribly practical.

I can see some background with Alyx. Could be either when she was a starlet and might have travelled in the same celebrity circles or done a benefit together or they might have met up when she was in the Navy and he was doing "promotional" films for the Navy. Possibly both, where they knew each other in one career and Alyx was surprised to see Ubangi in uniform when they met again.

We certainly could have. Especially if you had proved adept at getting Alyx on ships without having to show ID. He might have kept paying you to do that as long as you were moving away from the Danger Zone.

Whichever package it is, we don't take it until everyone's otherwise 'done' with their character, including connections and personal gear. Part of the reason is that whoever is on the low end of skill totals will get a second pick from the list.

Normally a ship's locker has everything needed for standard operations, which would include basic vacc suits and related paraphernalia. These aren't specifically tracked; they're considered to be available on an at-need/within reason basis.

If you want something extraordinary and/or persoanal extras to be in there then you have to pay for it yourself.



Leroy: did the starmaps include planetary survey data and/or bio-data in general? That would make it especially likely that the work Khuevaengh was doing would end up on his maps, even though they may not have directly met.

@Khuevaengh: Whatever fits best. Daddy's star mapping company sells all kinds.

I think it's entirely possible although hers was a small circuit which a big star like Alyx might have passed through maybe once or twice a year.
