Re: Tadaa!
I appreciate that, and yes. I went from my deployment to work at NGA in less than a month, and than took on classes that january, so only two months after getting back home.
There is a lot going on, and especially on my work days, I'm hitting straight from work to cooking dinner to bedtime, to maybe an hour with the wife, to ~5 hours of sleep for the next day. I just don't have a lot of bandwidth.
That said, I also feel like I lost the plot. I've never had notes or extensive plans for any of you guys, or the ones that came and went, and though I remember the intent of each of your stories, I'm hazy on the method.
AND, doubtful on quality. I think there's a lot of 'wish I had done that better/differently' going on. Part of that is coming up with plans for players who abandon the game after two posts; losing out on good storylines and not sure what different things to do instead. I'm also not that sure in my ability to create custom baddies and encounters that are actually interesting and challenging. (a lot of the material in the books is also for things that don't actually exist anymore, which also causes an argument in my head of what's fair game to use and what isn't)
To use the metaphorical gameplay slider, I think I've always been over on the "narrative" side of things.
There's the temptation to start from scratch, but that wouldn't be fair to you all. More to point, that in of itself wouldn't solve the bigger issues.
