Nope that is what my thought was. And again as a player I have NO issue. Now Redacted most likely will not gonna lie. More of a time and place kind of thing than that being an issue because of that being the flavor of your particular needs.

As a player... doesnt bother me a bit.

As for Barbie, it would depend how she was exposed to it.  She's a good girl from a simplier time, so the whole thing might just not be noticed or misunderstood by her till it was literally spelled out for her what was going on.  At that point alot of it would involve context.  I can't predict how the roleplaying will go.

Again... as a player, zero issue.

As a player, run what you want.  It will help define the world.  When one GM's opening post included the F-bomb, my character swears often because it fits him.

This character would have a choice comment or two regarding the scene.

My take is this. Play what you want, whether I like it or not should not matter as we are all here to have fun. It matters if YOU like it.

If it's the same Ava as I recall, I've played with them in a MULTITUDE of games before and they are a great gamer. So if they like playing that, then whatever. :)

My character on the other hand is going to look at Ava and ask, why is she not trying to get more healthy? And a myriad of other things, but even then Charge likely wouldn't criticize her over her weight. She'd try to help her control it.

Really he'll have way more to deal with over this than we will as players.  I think we should confirm he's okay with this before continuing with player thoughts on the topic.

As a player, it doesn't bother me. Flicker (the character) wouldn't notice if it wasn't pointed out to him, but would react badly if he noticed. Flicker is much older than he appears (my original draft of his back story placed his origin during the Philadelphia Experiment).
I will say that Majestic Ocean was in one of my games, in the past, and I really didn't see anything too bothersome with the character's interactions in game.

Heh, don't take what I said as me being comfortable with it BTW. As a player there are fetishes I am not comfortable with and this is one for some reason. With that said, I am also someone who is against suppressing people's rights to just have fun too.

As to Quoza GM'ing Ava, this is not the first time he's had this character in a game. I beleave this is what...4th? 5th? That's if you count all the incarnation of Kinnisin Institute as seperate games.

Well I'm perfectly capable of roleplaying with people doing things i find bothersome in role. For Instance my
Card Battlemage was once framed and imprisoned, and in a cell nearby there was a Succubus. Of course once the real action started the couple moved to Private Message, but it was disgusting.

That not to mention one of my old rivals was into Loli, and another one was a furry. Yeah, I'm totally used to RP around kinks I'm not comfortable with.

You were in that game?  I had just joined it at the end and was really enjoying myself and what i've seen of the game and the game master vanished...

Since I somehow missed this... for my part, as long as the relationship is clearly without abuse (because this kind of thing can appear in abusive relationships), then it's fine with me as a player.

I know this has been answered by the majority and largely laid to rest but I thought I'd put in my two cents in case anyone was interested.

Nightshade/Tarina:
She has known Ava for a long time and they have shared experiences as allies, friends, and comrades in arms. Also having her own dietary issues, Tarina is a little more comfortable with people's unique eating habits. On the other hand, she is always a little embarrassed when anyone's PDA (pubic display of affection) goes from romantic to sexual.

Her player:
I'm inclined to be tolerant, especially when its a natural part of character interaction, given that I'm in effect playing a 'furry'. Also I have been introduced to an almost embarrassingly wide variety of forms of interpersonal expression.

Eventide isn't much of a scientist, but she has some practical skills with computer programming and electronics.
