Empty hideout

Derek Shaw joins the group as the trio are taken away by Primus. Black Diamond hands the note over to Ocean, but she has to move on and see if she's still employed by A.A.I.

You make it to where Ocean was held.  Every computer and monitor is GONE.  The cell is there but empty.  There is not much left.  An issue of Guns and Ammo in the trash, A large spray painted green letter V that is circled, few desks, chars, pens, paper.  An apple core.  But nothing electronic.

"Da Fuq?!"

"Who the hell can move and entire hideout in a half hour?!  Note to self, when captured by villains and they are monologuing, ring out what moving company they use!"

Empty hideout

Not having been in this location before, Doll reviewed the scene with a fresh set of eyes that noticed the things that are here without being distracted by what was supposedly missing.

"Maybe they left the business card for the moving company behind," Doll teased, adding on to Ocean's comment.  "It's probably under a magnet attached to the refrigerator."

OOC:  This was meant as a joke.  It seems like there would at least be one of those mini-fridge / dorm fridges based on my understanding of the environment.

"Or they got a speedster working for them?" she suggested, shrugging her shoulders to emphasize her uncertainty.

"I guess that it can't hurt to take a look around before the experts get here."

The tiny woman went over the items left behind, looking for things that didn't seem to have a connection to local places but could suggest another location such as a matchbook or a menu from an out-of-town restaurant.  Although it looks like they took everything of importance, she also checked for something that might have been hidden to be retrieved later.

OOC:  Using Concealment skill to try to find hidden things.
21:12, Today: Doll rolled 15 (with 5 body) using 3 with the Hero (Champions) system with rolls of 6, 6, 3.  Concealment skill roll, 14-.
I guess there's nothing here!  :-)

In reply to Doll (msg # 4):

Not sure which skills are needed so...

Criminology, made by 7
Concealment, failed
Perception, made by 4

Checking the cell and the computer area, as that's where she'd been.  She also tries to find and check Phobias quarters based on any residual mental energy...

Leaving clues

In reply to Majestic Ocean (msg # 5):

"Y'know, the speed at which they left may work to our advantage..."

"Before BD and I left, I had originally rigged the camera in my cell to transmit a hidden piggyback signal to Primus.  Do you think you can monitor for unauthorized Prints signals for when he brings the camera back online?

Also, Phobia is part of Teuton's cadre.  I know it might be a stretch, but does Primus have a way to scan the city for nascent psychic powers?"

By the way, since April left, (side to Doll: We'll talk later) my parents insisted on hiring a cook to ... enforce my ... dietary regimen.  I suspect it may be Especially working for Teuton undercover.  Can look and her profile to confirm?  Maybe she still plans to keep her cover and we can lure her into a trap..."
