The city Housing District is a sprawling patch of flat earth, designed in a simple grid pattern to make navigation as easy as possible. Within, one can find the homes and private residences of virtually everyone who doesn’t live out of a shop, reside behind the walls of the Office District, or sleep amidst the squalor of the Roe.

Houses here range from small and drab (but still comfortable and a considerable step up from many of the hovels of the Roe) to grand estates that rival those of the Office District in splendor (though not so much in size). Poor sailors, fishermen, and dock workers live side by side with wealthy merchants and practiced artisans. And the general atmosphere amongst them is one of surprising comradely. For they all HAVE a place to live here.

The walls around the district give them all equal peace of mind at night.
