Character Creation Thread
Here you may discuss character creation with the DM and other players as needed.

Beginning as a party or on their own, players are encouraged to come to the city with their own goals in mind and begin either as individuals or only a small group; coming together naturally when needed and exploring/pursuing their personal agenda on their own (and at their own pace) the rest of the time.
The city offers a wide variety of factors that might attract outsiders to its gates. From promises of riches through trade and business, to potential routes to political power with the City Council, to chances for glory and excitement with the Adventurers’ Guild or less reputable organizations, all the way to the hopes of uncovering ancient secrets of the arcane and cosmic persuasion tied intrinsically into the city’s own origins.
Alternatively, you may choose to play as a citizen of the town. Someone who has lived and worked within the city for years already. Perhaps you own a business within the Town Square or Artisan District? Maybe you work at one of the many reputable establishments within the Entertainment or Office Districts? Could be that you’re just a simple fisherman or town resident making a living beside the Waterfront or a member of the Imperial military from the garrison just outside the city walls. Or are you one of the many disenfranchised citizens living in or under the Roe, Tideswallow’s oldest quarter where the descendants of the town’s original settlers now sequester themselves; mixed in amongst the other unwanted types as the rest of the city moves into a new age without them.

You can begin as any official 5e races and any class from the 5e Player’s Hand Book, or other official 5e supplemental materials. You begin at Level 3 and may start as either a single class or multiclass right off the bat. No Unearthed Arcana without discussing it with the GM first. You can use either Point Buy or Standard Array for your ability scores. Your character begins with your choice of two common magic items and one uncommon magic item.
For your first 3 levels, take the maximum roll for HP rather than rolling it.
