One of the major landmarks of the Square, the Adventurers Guild is a gathering place for both residents and out-of-towners alike. Anyone able bodied enough to take on the role of a monster hunter or “problem solver” is welcome within its lofty wooden halls. Built from the wreckage of a fleet of ships that once blockaded Tideswallow before being brutally overtaken by the town’s militia, the building itself is a testament to the city’s fighting spirit and the current Lord of Arms’ goal of ensuring there is always a suitable defense ready for any occasion.

Those looking to become members first need to prove themselves by taking on any task from the guild’s many job boards. They are to complete this task and donate the entire reward from it to the guild itself; a test to see who is willing to part with their own monetary gain for the good of the group as a whole. The tasks range anywhere from simple jobs to impossible missions and are posted regularly by folks from the entire region.

For those willing to put in the time and lay their life on the line, Lord Cartwright’s guild can prove to be not just a chance at fame and glory, but an opportunity to find a real home for oneself amongst a family of likeminded individuals from all across the region.

The job board outside the guild holds various jobs that anyone can take.

TODAY’S PUBLIC JOBS:
Sewer Clearing: Remove a rogue band of kobolds from the sewers who have been making life difficult for the city-approved clan down there.

Hunter Escort: Accompany a pair of hunters who intend to bring down a particularly aggressive bear that has moved into their hunting territory.

Diving Job: An expensive piece of jewelers was recently lost in the harbor. Search the harbor floor beneath the docks on the off chance it’s still there somewhere.

Tenebrian Delivery: The local Imperial garrison outside the city walls requires a shipment of fish oil to be brought to them. They can’t spare any of their own hands for this, so think of it as a show of good faith on the part of the city.



Within the Guildhall, there is a missions board that holds jobs specifically meant for members of the guild to complete.

TODAY’S MEMBERS-ONLY JOBS:
Goblin Camp Raid: A band of goblins led by a fairly tall individual is camped out not far from Smeltvein Quarry. We want them gone before they become an issue.

Giant Sighting: A giant was recently spotted in the forest west of town. Stone by the look of things. Investigate its presence and find out why it’s here. They shouldn’t be anywhere near this part of the lowlands.

Egg Delivery: A man in Scarborough-at-the-Crossroads is reportedly selling a fairly rare egg of some sort. Our client wants it bought and delivered to his residence in the Office District. He’s left us compensation to make the purchase already.

Outsider Influence: A suspicious individual Has taken up residence at one of the local inns. He’s masquerading as a shifter of some sort, but our sources are pretty positive he’s some manner of cambion in disguise. Get rid of him...

Fort Inspection: The city guard haven’t received word from their outpost in the forest for the better part of a month now. Something’s apparently interfering with messages coming in or out. They’re hiring us to go check in on their cohorts out there. Find out what’s keeping communications from getting through.

Undead Infestation: Some manner of necromancer has taken up residence beneath the city cemetery. Go down there and make sure it pays for every last corpse its desecrated. This final job has been redacted, a large black X having been painted over the parchment it’s written on.
