Lilith was asking about smell & vampire senses, which brings up a point that I wanted to address.

Each of you is playing a different representative of the shadows. Unlike in games where the lore is firmly established, Urban Shadows allows the players to contribute to the boundaries of your archetype's abilities. Lilith has established that vampires can go out into daylight as long as not too much sun hits their skin.

Now she is asking if vampires have advanced senses. The source materials are conflicted, so we can create our own reality. I suggest this: Vampires can have very powerful senses related to hunting healthy humans. Perhaps they can smell blood or hear heartbeats. Obviously the greater corruption, the more powerful their alien senses become.

Then Lilith would try to smell/hear if there is anyone in the apartment. Do I roll let it out or is not needed?

You guys need to make a roll something to enter the door. It could be manipulating someone, to demand that the building superintendent open the door? Or it could be some sort of Let It Out roll to open it up.
