"Ditto" is an unacceptable post.  Please, post something or substantial or not at all, and please don't post only OOC material; that is what this thread is for.  What are you referring to in any case?

Trip to Marseille
I hope everyone who celebrates the US Thanksgiving holiday had a nice and safe break.  If you are still with me, the trip is three nights and four days.  Please tell me who is riding where (will anyone ride with Pendu in the driver's bench?) also, there are inns along the way and it will cost 2 L per night (per person) to spend the night at such a traveler's inn.  Finally, roll against Wit as you set out in the morning, depending on where you are sitting it could be 1/2 as a general observation check.

I will ride with Pendu. I will also spring for rooms for everyone, I have the wealth to do so.

21:26, Today: Luc de Chasse rolled 18 using 1d20 ((18)). I guess I wasn't so witty this time.

The Archduke gave a purse with 50 L for each of you for traveling expenses, but you guys can use that as you please.

Hey,
I want to apologize for the disappearing act. Without getting into the whole deal, I got wrapped up in something and it ended up taking me away from my computer and the internet for pretty much this whole time.

Stuff is still ongoing so Iím going to be taking a step back from the website for a little bit and stop running and playing games here due to time and stress constraints. I appreciate the patience and opportunity to play with you.

Again, I'm sorry for having to duck out.

Based on the responses it seems only Luc and Piere have an interest in continuing.  Thank you both.

i figure get an evening meal, turn in early, get up early, grab something to take on the road, the bread or croissants, and each of us have a lantern we can light in the event we need to during the night.

At this point there are only three of you:  Luc, Piere and Pendu.  If the others are ghosting us then their characters can disappear as well.  Alexandre reached out to join us, and since this game owes its existence to his request, I'm fine with him finally joining us.  But he has to roll up his character and that may take a while, I will introduce him when he is ready.

Really [Private to GM: I find De Chass isn't playing in accordance with the Genre. He's countermanded the directives of a Member of the Peerage and insulted Pierre's character in public. Should I raise this in ooc or overlook it in interest of game progression?]

In reply to Piere de Vilfor (msg # 131):

[Secret to Piere de Vilfor: Being a nobleman doesn't give Piere any specific authority to give orders.  When nobles make demands it is implied that they have power to bring negative consequences upon someone who doesn't comply.  But that power comes from some authority or connection to authority.  Piere could get offended and challenge Luc to a duel, but that would cause two problems in and out of the game.  In game, it certainly defeats the purpose of your mission, to fight among yourselves over petty slights and bring unwanted attention to the Archduke's mission; out of game it constitutes PVP which I don't condone.  What is Piere's endgame here?  The Master of the Inn didn't insult him, just stated factually that they don't have what he is asking for.  Luc is trying to smooth things over to stay as discreet as possible.]

[Private to GM: my bad didn't see any normal pointers to indicate it was a unit published post ] hum

[Private to GM: Yes those points were taken into account which is why Pierre didn't call Luc to account on the spot. The innkeeps dismissal of Pierre's instructions is why he's looking for alternate lodging.  ]

As indicated no PC clashes, he countered Pierre instructions, who isn't about to get into a robust discourse with an inferior. Thus Pierre has no option but to find an alternate inn for the night.

For continuity purposes is Pendu in the Coachouse?

The conversation continues

[Secret to Piere de Vilfor: So what is your end game as a player then?  Will he not speak to Luc for the rest of the mission?  Will he challenge him to duel?  Is your enjoyment of this game contingent upon playing a character so unreasonably arrogant that those are his only options?  The henre supports a myriad of possible reactions, from dueling to laughing it off, to amiabl agreeing that Luc's suggestion is more reasonable.  Perhaps Piere is not the right person for this mission and the Archduke chose poorly.  Would you like a different character that doesn't suffer from those limitations?  Pendu is in the stables caring for the horses, he will secure the carriage in the coachhouse and will then go to the inn proper to rest.  ]
