Re: Friday Night: Thunder on the Horizon
With a surly scowl hidden inside his heart, yet his face carefully schooled to show any of it, Nic went the way they were demanding. As they neared the edge of town, he shrugged his invisible backpack off of one of his invisible shoulders and began stuffing the technicolor cloak into it as he walked.
First he says, If you are willing, but then flat out tells us that he's chosen us because we're courageous, so if we don't go, then we're saying we're not courageous, and even if I didn't want to go, Mother would make me in the end, so it's not like I've actually got a choice, no matter his pretty words thought the fully adult man, who was perfectly capable of surviving on his own for months at a time.
Beside him, Spot trotted happily, his back arched, his optically gifted tail wagging furiously. Walkies! We're going on walkies! I love going for walks! thought the many-eyed pupper, staring at everything, straining against his leash. Occasionally, he'd turn his head to Nic, his doggy grin dripping spit as he gazed adoringly at His Human.
