Kaden continues to loose arrows at the beast, aiming for the gaps in its armor. Sure it's big, but if he keeps attacking surely it will go down...

Stylus still hid.   Trembling with fear in the underbrush ... and, when courage could be found, attempting to find a way to escape this crazy situation.

Re: Morning Beginnings

The less-than-half-meter tall dog, grabs his mostly invisible master with his teeth and starts trying to drag him away from the horrific monstrous dog that had no tag to wag. The eyes on the top of Spot's head stare worriedly at the beast.

At one point, they several of his eyes blink and a bright light shoots out of one of his eyes, briefly illuminating deSanguine's face as the ray hits his own master, right in the face.

18:19, Today: Tunic deSanguine rolled 5 using 1d6.  Untrained puppy experiments, go!

Blinding attack?

18:25, Today: Tunic deSanguine rolled 6 using 1d20+5.  Spot! Make him blind!

Nope.

Re: Morning Beginnings

Acting first, the machine-dog spun in an odd cant on its four legs and leveled the terrible cannon that had shredded Frank directly at the mutant polar bear that challenged him.  The cannon was too fast, and Mawr stared right down the barrel, knowing he wouldn't make it to the monster in time.

CLICK.

Nothing happened.

18:01, Today: Mutant Lord rolled 1 using 1d20 ((1)).

Then everything happened at once.  From behind cover, Abbi Enn rose into the sky overhead, now in the form of a giant bat. Shelden bounced more sling stones off the thing's metal hide, but it had no visible effect.  Decker launched two more arrows, one of which shattered on impact, but the other again found a spot between armored plates and sunk in. Juffi-Wup tossed a grenade fruit at the monster, but it exploded at the beast's feet harmlessly.  Spot ran around in circles and flashed a strobe that would surely have blinded the beast... if he had aimed it right. Stylus and Freddy hid for their lives, and Desi seemed to hesitate.

Then Mawr collided with the beast with tremendous force.  The same might that had SOMEHOW lifted Kole the Massive smashed into the metal monster.

OOC: Mawr, please roll 1d4+2, and 3d6, for damage.

Even as this occurred, something ELSE crawled out of the twisted woods, shambling up the hill as if drawn by the ruckus.

The form before you is an odd jumble of what should be and what shouldn't be. Thick plates of bark completely cover the being's body held on by tiny green tendrils is the least odd thing about its body. The tendrils that are holding the plates move in such a way that they look like the plates are floating, bumping against each other, as if adrift lichen on a tiny lake. Not just the movements of the plates, but the fact that the tendrils also move in and out behind the plates as if the main body of this creature were made up of literally thousands of tiny hands. The plates even make up what could be called a face if it didn't resemble a segmented mask instead. The segments allow for a good range of expression: smiles, frowns, confusion, and much more, but the eyes and mouth holes are just green voids with nothing normal, like and eye or teeth, visible behind the mask. The most distrubing aspect of this being is that a pair of eyes with just appear at random locations. Bobbing up and down in this odd green sea with its bark islands as if they were some kind of odd fish popping to the surface to feed.

As to equipment, the being carries a bag over its shoulders, a short blade is the only metal on it.

Hearing the click before he hits, Mawr feels a sense of relief.  Damaging the machine, he is too busy to even notice the new arrival, much less worry if it is friend or foe.

Today: Mawr rolled 16,6 using 3d6,1d4+2.

Sheldon jumps back from the shockwave of Mawr slamming into the robot. He jumps up and cheers him on.

"Yeah! Squish it! Crush it!"

He stops when he sees the green thing trying to masquerade in armor and equipment. It reminded him of one of the creatures planted on the sea floor he occasionally swam over when catching fish.

"Hey!" He waves at the entity. "You friend? You help?"

Re: Morning Beginnings

The new being's head cocks to one side as a ripple forms on one of ours arms. It's faceplate seems focused on the metal dog before it screams in a thousand tiny voices "UN-NAT-RAL!!" A loop of tiny tendrils form out of where a hand would be as a rock is pushed out into the middle of them. The movements are much like ants working together, but of course not.

The being strides a little closer, creaking like an old house as it does so, the rock beginning to pick up speed before it is launched at the metal creature.

The rock flies through the air in a valiant effort only to thud uselessly into the dirt.

I'm going to move closer, maybe half my speed up and attack.

16:54, Today: Piecemeal rolled 11,3 using 1d20,d4+1.  Attack/damage.

The terrier bull pup that is covered in eyes continues to struggle to move something mostly invisible. A low whine emerges that seems to imply, why isn't anyone helping?

Another beam of light shoots out of one of its many eyes, this time a blue-white ray that seems slightly blurry at the edges compared to its previous attacks.

OOC:
Random roll: Cold attack

18:26, Today: Tunic deSanguine rolled 23 using 1d20+5.  Shoot, Spot, shoot!

18:27, Today: Tunic deSanguine rolled 13 using 2d6+5.  Damage?! In THIS economy?

Mawr flipped the metal machine end over end with a massive display of strength!

(OOC: Mawr, please roll 1d4+2 plus 3d6 damage.)

The thing cartwheeled but somehow came upright, only to be caught in a ray of frost from one of Spot's many eyes!

Desi could tell it was about to direct an attack at Mawr...

OOC: Just waiting on Mawr's damage.

The battered metal monster frosted over, covered in a layer of ice.  It didn't move.  And thus, when Sheldon threw his rock, it hit dead on... and shattered the frozen monster into metal components, cracking and falling to the ground.

OOC: Combat over!  Feel free to post your actions and interact!  And thanks for all your patience through the delays and my stupid health problems. :)

Sheldon's jaw dropped as the robot cracked open like a giant crawdad!

"Yesss! Woohoo! Do the Weasel Dance!"

Indeed, he enjoyed hanging out with his weasel friends and often played mancala with them. Even when he lost, he enjoyed their silly victory dances. He even learned some of the moves himself, which he attempted.

The plant man didn't exactly walk forward but kind of flows towards the fallen creature. Plates of bark roll down while tiny tendrils grab the soil and propels it forward instead of it taking actual steps. It's bark like face moving from a look of anger to a look of. . . curiosity? A "hand" reaches out to push on a piece causing to to clatter and fall in the dirt. Satisfied, it turns, again more of a sitting of the bark rather than is actually body turning around it looks at the others, an eyeless smile is formed.

"Hel-lo," the multitude says as two eyes emerge, one in it's chest and one in it's shoulder

Tunic lies there, motionless, breathing somewhat.

Spot, seeing that someone has finally come over to help, attempts to be super helpful by running over to the now-immobile metal dog, and barking at fiercely.

OOC: Combat lasted 5 rounds, or 50 seconds, so Tunic is still out for another 9 minutes.
