Character Creation will be done as per the rules in Mutant Future.  Beginning characters are most likely to be Mutant Human (The People) or Mutant Animal (The Guardians).  But options exist or will open for Pure Humans, Androids and Mutant Plants, if that's your preference!

As I noted elsewhere, I'm aiming for a tone in-between "I don't name them 'til they hit 5th level" and "I wrote an 18-page backstory so I expect my character to have plot armor".  The death of a PC is possible, and likely at some point to happen at least once.  That doesn't mean the player is out of the game - there will be the opportunity to bring in new, exciting characters.

Characteristics are rolled randomly, and can be assigned in order of preference.  For a challenge, you can place them in the order rolled - but that's totally optional.  Roll 4d6 and take the highest three for each stat (be sure to check the "Drop Lowest" and "Record Each Die" on the dice server when you roll!).

Number of Mutations, Hit Points, and Mutations will all be rolled randomly using the dice server.  If you have questions or need help, drop me a PM or hit up the OOC thread.

Once you've generated your character, please write up a description and a brief thumbnail bio.

All characters start with 3d8x10 gold pieces (gp). (page 10)

Shopping list is on page 16-17.

There are no horses on the island, unless a PC chooses to play a mutant horse. ;)

Gear is a mix of salvaged relics from the old ship, materials reforged from such, and homespun items from the village itself.

Regarding portraits... given the nature of the game, photos may not be appropriate, but let's avoid Anime or cartoony portraits if possible.

I encourage folks to be creative and take on the challenge of playing what they rolled, but some characters may be truly hopeless.  We'll take care of that when it occurs.
