I'll port across character sheet and backstory stuff for you soonish.

I wanted to ask if you are okay with the use of the Class Feature Variant UA content what with most of it supposedly coming in the upcoming Tasha book. Specifically I'm interested in the expanded spell lists, extra paladin Channel Divinity: Harness Divine Power option and the Sorcerer spell swapping after a long rest.

I particularly don't care how you build you characters as long as it conforms to two things:

1. it draws on published materials and doesn't go against the established gestalt guidelines you are already using for your characters

2. the world setting is NOT from published works, anything you use for your backgrounds is cool, can be integrated into this world setting, and could end up tweaked a little here and there but most importantly doesn't follow conventional fantasy tropes from D&D and every clone of it.

In that case I'll pick up those modifications as they are published by Wizards of the Coast, even if it is playtest material. You can of course veto if you like.

I'm also going to use the Spell Points variant rules from the DMG 288-299 (again you can veto if you like) for a bit more versatility in use of spellcasting.

On the roleplay side of things, do you need any more story/background stuff from me on Siloqui and do we have an idea on how we are going to start things off in character?

I'm cool with you choices. It's really up to you how you choose to play. As long as the options fit the system we can make it work.

as far as background and all that. anything you care to include is up to you and much appreciated. it may actually come into the game as a source for plots, schemes, and story arcs.

Sorry guys, I'm here, I got offered a job last week which could be a big step in moving my career forward, I am a sous chef, and was recently offered a kitchen manager position and as such have been busy researching this new company and meeting with their various management staff and will be meeting the owner on Tuesday so I have been slightly distracted.  All while working 3 doubles back to back since Friday.

man, what an under achiever, you should have volunteered for three triples. why, back in my day it wasn't nothing to pull a week's worth of quadruple shifts for a little overtime for Christmas or vacation money.

that'll be $7 entry fee, everyone else paid $5, but they were here on time-don't start in with that i was busy with real life crap either, no excuses.

cool, we will begin the player sacrifices in the starting thread, just insert yourselves in, allude to how and why you are there without too much detail. it can as simple as just passing through on your way to another place or waiting for the next carriage/caravan, you know, just place yourselves in the world.

I'm trying to write a post, curious about one thing. Do we already know each other or no? I have some ideas just wanna know what way to take it.

Given it's a fresh start either way is fine with me.

I think we'll want a good reason to stick together at least so knowing each other makes sense.

Siloqui has been adventuring for at least a couple of years so could have worked with Corvis and/or Mirth in the past.

I made the assumption that you three would show up 'together', if you want to be strangers and come together in the game that is fine with me. I can work with it either way.

Great interaction guys, really cool roleplay. got several 'quest' ideas for you all, just as soon as i get the gm fees via paypal we'll set out on high adventure.

Rpol has been having a hard time loading here over the past couple of days, I assume it's been the same for everyone. If not, I apologise for not posting.

I'm happy to tackle any of those tasks or go find some new ones by asking around the town.

Siloqui has a desire to become a famous hero in order to get recognition by her family so she'll likely lean towards higher profile quests. She also has a soft spot for children (feel free to use that as ammunition DM :P).

Just rock it, kinda seeing how we interact it seems for the moment you are the de facto leader.

I'm all for Sil as party leader. Mirth is best in a supporting role and - conspiracy theories aside - I'm not too worried about what job(s) we take.

Okidoki, I intend to roleplay her as a pretty assertive (read occasionally pushy) so do shout out OOC if you'd rather head in a different direction even if your characters might IC just go along with something.

i probably simply forgot to add that to the dialogue. the girl has been missing for five days by the time of the conversation with the grandfather. he is being a little illusive as well. it's hard to get a lot across with a slow posting game. my apologies for the confusion.
