I know it probably corny but

They so some kind of secret handshake/gesture/greeting

Like
Cross forarms cros froarms. Hop skip and iget lost haha... Anyway end in a headbut.
While, and forgive me there a reasn im not a bard,  they chant smash 'em stab' em make 'em bleed.

Re: OOC
Speaking of new players, and not being a bard...

I'm a bard!

And I've got bonds to pass around!

Fill in the name of one of your companions in at least one:
Tis is not my frst adventure with _______________.
I sang stories of _______________ long before I ever met them
in person.
_______________ is ofen the butt of my jokes.
I am writing a ballad about the adventures of _______________.
_______________ trusted me with a secret.
I told __________ all about performing inside a rich nobleís home and saw the greed in their eyes.
__________ helped me make some important contacts. I owe them.
__________ is my lover, or was, or would have been, or... itís complicated.
 __________ knows I have a secret map.
__________ started a fight while I was performing, and paybackís a bitch.
__________ would be an excellent subject for a ballad, if only they got into more adventures. So Iíll just help them out with that.

Anyone want to take a grab at any of these? And anyone have unfilled bonds left over?

Welcome, Doxrider

I reckon a bard would enjoy making fun of the Paladin.

I'm not doing bonds, myself, but I'll take

Istvan trusted me with a secret.

Basically the idea would be that you and Istvan (arcane duelist) have met before, and Istvan told you an important secret...

(If you want to choose this bond and stick Istvan's name in there, I'll privately tell you the secret via PM...?)

If you'd like that, it's fine, though I'll admit I won't do it maliciously. Not a fan of that sort-of friction in a party. More an occasional jab here and there.

Re: OOC
Hi folks,

I know DW is designed to have greater narrative weight than other systems, but I just ... can't help... myself. So I worked up a breakdown on the prior probabilities given the bonuses.

BonusSuccessMixed(Non-fail)Failure
+358%33%(91%)8%
+242%42%(84%)17%
+128%44%(72%)28%
+017%42%(59%)42%
-18%33%(41%)58%
-23%25%(28%)72%
-30%17%(17%)83%

I'm so sorry.

Galadiir would be an excellent subject for a ballad, if only they got into more adventures. So Iíll just help them out with that.

That could make an amusing bond, with the 'ivory tower' wizard getting thrown into all sort of trouble by a bard eager for action.

Re: OOC
Here's my suggestions, Doxxy.   Use whichever ones you want.

Doxrider:
  • I sang stories of _______________ long before I ever met them in person.
Easy to do,  and you can make up whatever stories you want (any that seem out of place may just be exaggeration and rumor... or are they? )
  • I am writing a ballad about the adventures of _______________.
Ingrid is looking to live life to the fullest,  but often comments how she won't marry any man unless he can best her in battle.  And she's REALLY good in battle.  A tragic tale of romance,
    if there ever was one.
  •   __________ is my lover, or was, or would have been, or... itís complicated.
Did Ingrid play butch to get a handsy drunk to leave you alone at a tavern once,  or was Ingrid the handsy drunk?

Given that Caedwen lives a more remote life and hasn't spent much time with the rest of the group, this is the one I feel would fit best.  Songs of "The Green Man" who lives at the edge of the wood.

I think it would help if we knew more about your bard!

Re: OOC
Galadiir: Of course! A mighty wizard should have stories! You just need to lean into them a little more, you know?

Coraxa: I know a merchant 'prince' because of you! Thanks for the introduction!

Ingrid: I love the idea of you playing 'anti-wing-woman' to help me from a handsy drunk, but I have to wonder... How much of that was an act, eh?

Still something of a work-in-progress, I'm afraid. All I know so far is that Doxrider is a wandering storyteller and loves a good mystery. She's a bit on the well-fed side, and has good fashion sense without being a peacock about it (can't be when you travel, you know?) She's left a few broken hearts and a few scandals along the way, but always tries to leave a place better than how she found it, if that makes sense. Again, still a work in progress.
