OOC
You know what this thread is for.

I'm going to start with a few questions

I will be adding a map. let's fill in a few places together

mountain to north grassy not too tall many hills leading up to it.

mountains to the west, tall and covered in snow and ice.

beach in the south and east. plains in between mostly. there are hills midwest

a lake in the northwest nestled in between the snowy and grassy mountains. shaped like a crescent moon, called  Crescent Lake.

do you think we should all start in the middle of the land? or more east or west
where are you from?

So:

                                Mountains
                               grassy hills
             crescent
             lake

snowyicy             hills
mountains                           plains

                                                                          beach
                                                                     beach
                                                                 beach
                                                           beach
                                                     beach
                                                 beach

I'm fine starting in middle...

Haslo comes from the hill country near the crescent lake.

Reckon we can start in the middle and go where adventure takes us.

I think Istvan would be from the beach/ocean/coastal area...

Re: OOC
Ingrid has wandered from the Skeld Highlands far away to the west-by-northwest direction, past the snowy mountains.  She's arrived in the lowlands in search of rich food, the opulence of civilization, and a handsome man who can best her in battle.

Speaking of civilization, let's add a meandering river flowing from the snow-fed Crescent Lake down to the sea, and a few cities.  Maybe the capitol of a kingdom by the lake shore, and its major port city at the mouth of the river...

Caedwen comes from the forested valleys between the mountains, but that was ages ago.  He has since taken to living on the boundary between hill and plain, near a small village.

GM, Can you toggle "word wrap" on my sheet?

Also, great work on the map!

Players, here's my thoughts for bonds... any objections?

Bonds:
  • Galadiir is puny and foolish, but amusing to me.
Does our Elven wizard have the Barbarian lass charmed, or there some other reason she finds him entertaining?
  • Caedwen’s ways are strange and confusing.
What is something unusual about his philosophy or mannerism?
  • Haslo is always getting into trouble—I must protect them from themselves.
Does he have a history growing up around Ingrid where she would treat him like a little brother, OR did they share an adventure where he bit off more than he could chew and needed her help, OR is there something else she mentors him in?
  • Coraxa shares my hunger for glory; the earth will tremble at our passing!
What desires or vices does Coraxa have in common with our hedonistic berserker, or does Coraxa simply get dragged along by Ingrid's enthusiasm despite any protests?

Re: OOC
No objections on my part!

Now for my bonds...

Coraxa Haslo will play an important role in the events to come. I have foreseen it!
What's a paladin without a noble quest, after all?

Istvan is keeping an important secret from me.
I know you've got something in those pocket of yours!

Ingrid is woefully misinformed about the world; I will teach them all that I can.
Because what's more amusing than a guy looking like a matchstick trying to explain the world to a barbarian that saw more of it then he did?

EDIT: Just realized I used the wrong name on my first bound...

something about another barbarian lovers wife. do you thirst for Mortal pleasures?

I have sworn to protect      Caedwen                 .

the horns giving away, druids always getting in trouble.

I worry about the ability of   Galadiir  to survive in the dungeon.

puny elf man is to skiny.

Istvan Vanoson    is soft, but I will make them hard like me.

Re: OOC
Oh man, druid bonds are weird.

Bonds:
Galadiir smells more like prey than a hunter.
He dresses as beautifully and delicately as a deer.  Maybe he has tiger stripes hidden beneath?

The spirits spoke to me of a great danger that follows Istvan.
Much like the arrival of elk bring the family of wolves, Istvan has something dark in his shadow.

I have showed Ingrid a secret rite of the Land.
Like me, Ingrid does not fit in.  I have shown her my ways, but she is made of iron where I am made of tooth and claw.

Coraxa has tasted my blood and I theirs. We are bound by it.
We have bled together in battle, both as allies and enemies.  The bond we have forged was sealed in blood.

Anyway, I started doing my bonds... but... I hate bonds in DW on RPOL, because the bonds I make never come to fruition, because people always drop out/disappear/leave the game.

Do I have to choose bonds?

Now let's talk about my alignment. As you know, they seem to have forgotten to do alignment for Arcane Duelist as far as I can tell... So I propose using the Wizard's Good:

Good: Use magic to directly aid another.

Or maybe the Ranger's Good:

Good: Endanger yourself to combat an unnatural threat.

I'd prefer that one...

GM, any thoughts?

Re: OOC
Understood about the bonds. In rpol.

They do not have to be required
But they are fun to read what people come up with.

Iand i belive the arcane dulist is a 3rd party addon. So yeah i guess you can pick something that fits

I certainly don't mind people adding me in bonds. I'm not going anywhere (I've never disappeared from a DW game yet, anyway...)

Yeah. So thanks for letting me use it.

Okay. I'll try:

Good: Endanger yourself to combat an unnatural threat.
