I am thinking I going to add objects for each class. Something to quest after. kind of zig-zag across the land collecting these items to defeat the tyrant

So, Arcane Duelist's rapier, in my case...

Ingrid's background is a shield maiden of a Berserker clan from the highlands who grew tired of guarding the homestead while the men went out and hunted great beasts or invading hordes.  She clove her shield in twain as an act of defiance and ran away from home, and likely would not be accepted back without it.  Her arc could be reforging her broken shield, or perhaps chasing rumors of the lost shield of her clan's progenitor in some hidden ruin or ancient battlefield.

I'd also be partial to Gauntlets of Giant's Strength (something to let her effortlessly swing a two-handed weapon in a single fist) or Berserker Plate ("cursed" armor that gives +damage ongoing each time she's hurt but adds the dangerous tag to the attack)

Istvan & GM, what about a "Colichemarde of Dancing Blades", a rapier that gains a charge (up to three total) each time you land a blow.  The sword gains Piercing X, where X is the number of charges.   The charges can also be spent like Hold from a Defend move, to either lock down an opponent or Riposte or deflect their attacks.

Would that be a good goal for his artifact?

Holy Avenger longsword is always nice!

It'd be great... except I already chose the Quicksilver technique, which can grant me piercing... So I'd prefer something I can't already do, nor learn to do...

But the charging-up-and-then-using-the-charges bit is great... Let's keep that, but have them do something else... Mmmm... But what...?

I can think of a good wizard staff.

  When you want to cast a spell you have not memorize, choose a spell memorized spell of the same level or higher. On a 7+, you forget your memorized spell, and cast the spell you need. On a 7-9, you also need to choose either -1 onward to Cast a Spell, or being exposed to danger.
