Maybe it would make sense to have Seraphene keep an eye on the children or the two remaining "friendly" goblins? That way her exit from the excitement has an in-character reason behind it?

I was also a bit confused about that. Does everyone except Coraxa take 1d4?

I would think those that fail take d8, those who roll 7-9 take d4, and those who got 10+ take 0.

Ah, yes, that was my thinking as well. I was thinking Coraxa was the only one who got 10+, and everyone else happened to end up with a 7-9.
