Edit-Booker could have met Bricklin on the ship they both served on. No doubt Bricklin is the more experienced sailor.

as for in game we have thus far:
  The mages tower has issued a "call to arms" any able and willing adventures. there is a new threat coming from the north.

At the gathering in the tower courtyard lightning strikes hit the walls and pillars and exploded into the courtyard. Hurting many. Then a stone construct and a few goblins came in to the courtyard. after the scuffle, the bodies were searched , and a map and an emblem were found. the team was given a choice. follow the map or find Arch Mage Derjecs, as he is missing. the team decided to follow the map. it led down an alleyway where a bar fight broke out, spilling in to the ally. they defused the situation and kept moving. They continued following the map to the Merchant Mannor.  The grounds are still and quiet. The team gain entry without any trouble. finding nothing on grond levle . they head upstairs was there is a hallway with 4 doors. Searching 3 of the 4 rooms finding mostly orcs and blood. oh and 2 young children.


I would sugest that Booker and Bricklin are perhaps in the attic. perhaps they were a here Hired by the family when "somthing " went down. quick thinking they found them selves hiding in the attic forming a plan.

Absolutely! Bricklin, being an experienced sailor (but having retired from that life) would have taken pity on Booker, who I imagine didn't have his sea legs under him. Perhaps Booker was losing his lunch over the side of the boat and Bricklin would have offered him a remedy from his homeland (basically just a ginger tonic) to help him settle his stomach. Then they would have bonded over that? What are your thoughts?

Totally. Booker grew up mostly taking pleasure yachts and such. Never any reason for him to endure bad seas with bad weather.

Looks like the team has already visited and left the attic, if I’m reading it correctly. Perhaps Booker and Bricklin are the ones coming up the stairs?

Or we could come bursting through a window in the midst of their fight with whatever is coming up the stairs

Quick question - Barbarian has a background ability where I can be granted bonus XP at the beginning of a session by sharing a bit of info about my homeland. Since we don't have 'sessions' here, how would that work out? Or can i come up with a different background?

I'm sorry, but quick question about the most recent post. I had a hard time following the actions - there were 10 goblins, then one was killed by Joy, one was killed by an arrow from either Kaj or Seraphene, one was killed by Bailor, two ran away from Joy and down the stairs, two were killed by Bricklin, and two others are hurt. Now there are two goblins about to attack Booker and Bricklin, and there are four more attacking the rest of the party? Is that right?
