On the hunt

Ok so there is alot happeneing.

Bailor:
Getting in between some of them Bailor stands with his shield and warhammer lowered, "fellow dwarves and allied orcs, surely this is not how we wish to represent ourselves among the other races.  Especially with our alliance with one another.  I am certain we can sort this out with violence.  If you wish to continue though I shall have to bring my warhammer to bear against those that insist on doing so in the name of my uncle, the great king under the mountain, and he shall hear of the transgressions from both sides."

The dawarfs put down their fists and swards at Bailors words, however the half-orcs dont appear to care. Half orc 2You cant talk about my Moma that way, she a good woman" He takes a swing at the nearest person. Darwarf 1

Joy Weaver:
Joy had heard of bar room brawls, but had never been in a bar and so had never had the chance to experience one. So she was excited to see that she might get the chance, albeit unexpectedly. The little halfling stood among the dwarves and orcs looking ready to join in. "We probably shouldn't do this, true. But if we're gonna do this, come at me! Show me what you've got!"

She had nothing against orcs, but it seemed Phirosalle was good buddies with one of the dwarves and of course Bailor was a dwarf himself. So Joy kicked things off by leaping into the air to deliver a roundhouse kick to one of the orc's faces. "No killing. Just BRAWL!" Her short little leg only dealt a glancing blow, but at least it connected.
Joy has attacked half orc 4. Her foot got him in the nose and made him sneeze. He laugs at heryou are punney he takes a swing at her. His closed fist comes in fast.

Coraxa:
At first Coraxa was not excited for another fight, she was still sore. Then Joy jumps out and stomps one of the orcs in the face. Oh well bar fights were fun.

It had only been a few night scence she had to defend some one in a brawl. That damn merchants son, Bane Davis. Had her working hard on that last trip. She itched to pull out Tane again. however a bar brawl was not the place however quick she could end things with him in her hands.

Hoping from foot to foot. She makes a fist and pounds in to tue othe palm. Cracks her neck. She taks a defensive stance. Ready for one to attack.

Siting back waiting, none of the Half orcs has noticed her yet

Seraphene:
Seraphene opened her mouth to echo Bailor's call for civility, such as it was, then the pretty elf took up a sword, and Joy joined the brawl. She sighed, but agreed with the halfling, "yes please, if we could avoid any killing, it would be appreciated."

None of the half orcs have noticed Seraphene
Phirosalle:
Phirosalle finds himself armed and staring down a line of half-orcs, which is not at all where he had hoped to find himself.

"Ahhhh! Not in the face, not in the face!" he wails and swings the dagger wildly around him, hoping to keep any attackers from getting too close.
Swining the sward around willy nilly. The orcs have not got to close yet.
 D 3 ( charmed ) stays by his side

K'ajoranguarssuak:
At the mere mention of dwarves, Kaj raises his spear, reday to skewer the first dwarf he sees.  But he doesn't see any.  Just one group of odd-looking orcs and another of short humans with very impressive beards.  Normally, he'd attack the orcs without hesitation, but dwarves?  Orcs couldn't hold a candle to the sheer wickedness and black malevolence of dwarves.

"Where are the dwarves?" he exclaims, too alarmed to even speak Common.  "Where are they?!"

Half Orc 3 takes a leaping jump at D3 but over estimates and is now about to land on Kaj.

Half orc 1 beats on his cheast. He howls in to the rain. He points at Bailor. Makes the come hither motion " come show me your dance"

Shakes his head sadly, "very well, I hope you remember your actions this day."

He charges the challenging half orc lifting the shield to ram him into the solid wall behind hoping to knock him out.

Should have been labeled hack and slash.  Forgot that was a move :)

After being called punny and seeing the punch coming her way, Joy smirked and launched a punch of her own. But instead of aiming for the half-orc's body, she aimed right for his fist. Her "punny" pounder vs his humongous hamfist. She might be small, but weak she was not. "Don't mistake small for helpless, Uggymug."

Defy Danger by powering through. (+Str)
20:37, Today: Joy Weaver rolled 8 using 2d6+2.  Defy Danger + Str, punch the punch!

Phirosalle drops the blade - what's he going to do with it anyway, skewer himself? - and instead calls on the awesome powers of the arts arcane to strike down the half-orc that's about to flatten Kaj. A flurry of bolts of silvery energy fly from his outstretched palm to batter the foe.

I cast Magic Missile on Half-Orc 3.

10:21, Today: Phirosalle rolled 10 using 2d6+2.  Magic Missile.

This escalated quickly. Were these ruffians who would join a brawl at the drop of a hat really the heroes who defeated the rock monster?  Regardless, this was no time for foolery. "Enough!" her sharp tone cut through the din of fighting, "we are on a mission from the Magus! The city was attacked today! Settle your petty differences elsewhere!"

08:51, Today: Seraphene rolled 9 using 2d6+2.  charisma.

Mixed success. I could see that making some enemies.

quote:
Defend
When you stand in defense of a person, item, or location under attack, roll+Con. ✴On a 10+, hold 3. ✴On a 7–9, hold 1. As long as you stand in defense, when you or the thing you defend is attacked you may spend hold, 1 for 1, to choose an option:

Redirect an attack from the thing you defend to yourself
Halve the attack’s effect or damage
Open up the attacker to an ally giving that ally +1 forward against the attacker
Deal damage to the attacker equal to your level
I assume your one hold was: redirect an attack from the thing you defend to yourself?

As Coraxa tempts to shield check the oncoming Halforc, he slams into her pushing her back a few feet. he tries to grip the shield and rip it out of her grasp. but...

Bailor sends Halforc 1 into the wall. he growls in pain. "your going to regret that he goes to jab a dagger into his side.

Joy   punches the punch. the Halforc he snarls at her. he is now frustrated. "Slimy little ..." he goes to throw a left and a right.

Phirosalles' missile hits HalfOrc just after he slams into Coraxas shield.  he tries to grab the shield but the missile hits him. his body does a jerky movement as he is racked with arcane energy.

Seraphene I assume you try to parley? gracefully shouts into the crowd everyone stops. the Halforcs, the dwarfs, and the adventures. they all look at her.

" What of it? pretty lady. you want some of this.    says one of the Half orcs. " why do you want to stop us? what do we get if we do?"

all the dawarfs have now put up there hands. one says to another "lets get out of here." the five of them leave. the half-orcs regroup. the largest one, Orc3. looks at the adventures. " what is a few scrawny elvess, a human,  a dawarf, and that"  he points to Joy. " tiny thing. going to do to stop us? eh, pretty lady?"

Bailor watched as the other dwarves took off, "Cowards!"

He spun his shield up in defense of the dagger while ducking downwards and around to the back of the attacking orc.  Bailor gives him a quick kick towards the direction of Coraxa as he yelled out, "agreed, please end this before someone gets seriously hurt.  You have my word as nephew to the King that this matter will be brought before him."

"There was a group of goblins that came through here.  Did you see how they came through this way?"

"Are there any landmarks that may help orient us when we go in the direction they came from?"

"Did you hear them mention anything unusual as they were passing by?"

The goblins came walking with the others. Some went forward, some went back. Our brethren did they take. Of lightning, targets, and retreat they spoke. Largest most ornate gate way to the spices

Assuming Bailor shares what he learned:

"Gateway to the spices?" asked Joy, confused. Then a look of realization crossed her face. "The merchants who pass through my village always seem to have a bunch of spices with them. And the map we have starts at the merchant's house, right? I say we go investigate the obvious, obviously. To the merchant's house? I can cover the back if someone else covers the front."

Probably more than one person would be on each side of the house, but it seemed wise to have at least one person watching each side.
