Worlds of the Severan Dominate

These planets will be your Home World Options.

Stalynthia
Stalynthia is a desert world. It is rich in mineral wealth. Much of the Dominate's manufacturing is supplied from here. The planet is very hot and very polluted. The pollution clouds are thick and dark enough to block much of the direct sunlight, but the planet is still overheated due to the clouds' insulating quality.

The planet's population is almost entirely given over to mining the planet's raw materials. Almost everyone lives in a state of abject squalor.

Fourtheden
Fourtheden is an agri-world. It produces a vast amount of the Dominate's food supply. It has a mild climate and mild seasonal changes. It is a very comfortable world for humans in terms of weather, temperature, and native life forms.

Much of the population is given over to agriculture, especially food production. The population tends to be peaceful and hard-working. However, in recent years there have been secretive and menacing threats in the shadows of the world.

Ohmsworld
Ohmsworld is a hive world. The dense and toxic atmosphere makes it impossible for humans to survive unprotected. The hives function as enormous air filtration systems, making them the only places for humans to live. The filtration systems are not for the humans' benefit. They provide an enormous quantity of mineral resources filtered from the air.

The population is confined to the massive hives. The planet's economy is based on raw resources and manufacturing. The massive hives are full of people engaged in all sorts of commerce, services, indolence, and violence.

Kokytos
Kokytos is a death world. This brutally frigid world is entirely frozen. Deadly wind whips across its surface. There was once thriving life here, but the war between the Imperium and the Dominate has purged it. Now the self-sustaining communities have been destroyed or gone into hiding. It was once believed that this planet was a source of raw promethium, but this supply has long since been exhausted.

The surviving population of the world struggle to survive. Native plants and animals are almost extinct, and the conditions are far too harsh for agriculture.

Cuyayale
Cuyayale is a forest world. It is covered by massive forests. These forests are filled with giant trees and choked with vegetation. The animal life here is as healthy as it is dangerous. The apex predators of the world are called Drakons. These are huge flying reptiloids that roam between the mountains and the forests.

There are two sets of populations on Cuyayale. One is subterranean, living in the caves that were formed by water activity and root systems. They live in perpetual darkness and feed off fungus and deep animals. The arboreal humans live their entire lives among the boughs of the trees. They live off the trees, their dependent plants, and the animals that fill the ecosystem.

Ismongerelane

Ismongerelane is a Forge world. It is said that the factories of the world can turn a shipload of ore into a ship in a day, though this is patently absurd. The Mechanicus does not support the Dominate, but the secrets of their technology are far too important for Duke Severus to lose. The Forge world has been divided by civil war, further complicated by an Imperium invasion and the arrival of an Ork Waargh.

The population of Ismongerelane occupy themselves with defence, religious rituals, and mechanical production. Many of them have cybernetic replacements thanks to religious rites or factory injuries. Servitors and tech-priests are common.

The Rogue Trader Dynasty

(The Dynasty's name will be decided by the Rogue Trader player.)

Centuries ago, the progenitor of the ??? family fought during the Angevin Crusade. They were a close ally of the Rogue Trader Duke Severus the First during the conquest of the Calyx Expanse. He served as an arch-militant and saved the Duke's life. He was rewarded with a ship of his own.

The ship was subsequently awarded to his daughter, who served the Munitorum in supplying the Imperial Guard. She bravely faced ork brigands and saved a regiment with her timely arrival. She was awarded a Warrant of Trade.

The subsequent years were good for the new Rogue Trader dynasty. They invested their profits in new ships and in the planets of the Periphery. Their wealth flourished, and soon they became second only to the Duke in influence.

Soon it was common for them to serve as councilors to the Duke. One hundred years ago, Lord-Captain Fiefa ??? was awarded a place on Duke Severus the XII's war council.

When Duke Severus XIII declared his succession from the Imperium, it caught many off-guard. Alone of their family, the Rogue Trader was outside the Periphery when it became the Severan Dominate. This spared them the wrath of the Imperium... barely. The Departmento Munitorum stripped the ship of its valuable cargo, and declared all their assets to be forfeit. Duke Severus XIII nationalized all their holdings and assets as well. Now with only one ship to their name, the Rogue Trader must rebuild their fortunes.
