Please move all group discussions to this thread, so that we can have some separation between other chatter and the actual conversation and results for deciding on party members.

My recommendation would be to have three parties grouped by the law-chaos alignment axis. So one Lawful, one Neutral, and one Chaotic. I’ll volunteer to place myself in team Lawful.

I personally would prefer to be exploring (missioning?) on the evil planes.  There are more chances for Mara to pick up items/treasure that would be of use to her there.

It might be a bit on the 'needlessly complex' side but if we all rank the possible destinations by preference order a little bit of math can pick out the 'best' party for each plane that way.

Again the dedicated healers would be restricted a bit such that they can not be in the same group as each other.

Just have everyone pick their top 3 then?

I'm not too picky but my top three so far are: The Plane of Water, Olympian Glades of Arborea, Wilderness of the Beastlands.

Of course, that could change as the locations within the planes are revealed.

No preference here.  Jastero will go where he is needed.

Hmmm, probably the Nine Hells, the Abyss, then the Shadowfell for top 3.

There are plenty of others I'd be keen to explore:
Feywild, Arborea, Bytopia, Celestia, Arcadia, Elysium, Plane of Air, Beastlands.

As I said in the other thread: The Nine Hells, the Feywild, and the Domains of Dread in the Shadowfell are my interests.

And I am Lawful Neutral, if that matters for grouping.

I'm afraid I don't know enough about all of the planes to know which are the most lavish and therefore in my top three. But I'd be just as happy to bandy about any of the planes with anyone.

Consider me a utility for whatever team I may be on. Magically speaking I've got a lot of tricks up these sleeves but both physically and magically I don't hold much of candle to folks built specifically for fights.

Dibs on NOT Pandemonium! I like my hearing, and I don't want to lose it! :P

Mechanus isn't on the list, otherwise I'd choose it. So, of those listed, my top 3 are:

The Astral Plane, because Niki is still a rogue and that's where the stuff inside every bag of holding is!

Carceri, because escaping from the most secure prison in the multiverse will be great for Niki's street cred.

Aaand The Nine Hells, to flip off Tiamat. Kobold reasons. You wouldn't understand.

Aaaaaaaand you just gave me an idea for my next campaign, where the party is going to either be pulling or trying to stop the biggest heist ever.

Shadow's top 3 choices would be Shadowfell, Shadowfell, Shadowfell... and then distantly after Limbo and Pandemonium.  He might be a little crazy.

I realize I have mentioned this before, and in some ways it is unfortunate because I can offer little help in determining what happens.

Mekkal will work on any team, going to any plane, just feel free to put me in whatever spot needs balance.

Seti is indifferent - wherever he is needed and the task must be done.  He is Lawful-Neutral.  As a Human, and based on his world, he has some prejudices, but none so strong that they would interfere.  He has dealt openly and honestly with Orcs and their relations before. Seti's prejudices are more against those who don't take life seriously or respect the natural order of things. (Demons, Chaotic)  Seti has limited knowledge of the more obscure planes.

Nate's top three are: Feywild, Plane of Dreams, and pretty much 15 through 21 is tied for third.

I am neutral, both in plane preference and alignment.

Anyway, I am starting to see a trend emerging where we have one group most interested in the Lower Planes, one group most interested in the Chaotic planes (like Limbo), and one group most interested in the Transverse Planes (primarily the Shadowfell). Could we all fit into one of those three groups to start?

Jastero is Neutral Good, which means he goes where he feels he can do the most Good, does what he feels will promote the most Good.  Sometimes the Good done by actions is not immediately visible,  especially if they are classified as bad or Evil.

That is handy! Also, it looks like one group practically built itself. Siveril Balberos, Jaylan Cairn, Mara the Blessed, Niki Piki, and Shadow seems like an obvious combination. Probably going to either The Plane of Shadow or Nine Hells of Baator first?

I guess put me down for Abyss (need to finish off them demons!) and  Hades (sounds like home) and Olympian Glades.  That said, I am highly flexible.

Updated the table now. If this gets too time consuming and complicated then I will have to make some calls myself. For this it would be beneficial to have each sheet or biography entry list your alignment.

If we're doing groups of five, then I'll go to the Nine Hells with Siveril, Jaylan, Mara and Niki Piki. That seems like a fun outing.

This way I hope that the characters of the group are actually wanting to work together with one another instead of just being 'ordered' to do so. And there is a better chance of chaotic results Mordenkainen would have never chosen himself ^^

It looks like two people aren't on the list at all.

And if we just drop the 'any' plane people in with Shadow and go to whichever plane is first priority of the three we are good to go.

Jastero comes from a world where the alignments are open to interpretation.  No particular race has to be a specific alignment, and there is more gray area within each.  Plus, he has something else n common with the warforged, which were invented in Eberron.
Plus, there can be no Shadow without Light, and no Light without Darkness.
Mekkal, I am good with that.  Strange bedfellows, as they used to say.

Something to keep in mind is that E1-THA is from Ravnica; a technologically advanced world compared to other realms out there.  While Jastero might mistake her for an Eberron Wargorged, she's not actually one - in her own setting, she'd be considered an "Artifact Creature".

As for her alignment, E1-THA is Lawful Evil but will basically function as Lawful Neutral for the most part.  She's evil because her creator is evil, and since her only goal is to fulfill the plans he's set in motion for her to address, she'll use any means available to her with absolutely no consideration for ethics or morals as a result.  Those elements would only factor in if they had some impact on the efficacy of her actions.  But she's not at all sinister and wouldn't go out of her way to take an intentionally harmful course simply for the sake of being evil.  She's just a walking case of computational "the ends justify the means".

Nah, E1-THA's creator is more of an "affably evil mad scientist who wants TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD!" type and less than a "violently purge the weak via omnicidal eugenics" type.  Strictly speaking, E1-THA would be considered an abomination by Phyrexian standards since she was made by a mortal.

Sorry guys, work revved up big time this week (8 hours of training followed by four more hours of working @___@  ). I've barely had a chance to look at the character sheet much less what's been going on here.

Chanterelle is perfectly capable of keeping this lot in line however.  And she'd put aside her personal preference for mission locale in favor of group coherence.  Any of Shadow's choices looks fine.  I'd favor Limbo/Pandemonium though.

Looking at the list, the leftovers seem like a decent party...a little squishy, but we can deal with that.

Sry for the delay, havn't had to make a high lvl char in 5e yet, so had to go over my options. Zyre would def want to venture to Limbo in the hopes of seeing the Warriors rest. Other than that, Archon would be of interest, but hes open to going where hes needed.

I highly recommend using More Purple More Better's free pdf character sheet for building a character from scratch, particularly higher level ones. It won't have a lot of the newer options (they are coming) but you can edit all the text fields or just use it as a basic skeleton before transferring your sheet to an RPoL compatible text format. It's super powerful and reasonably intuitive.

Alright, then we group all other characters together in the last group and hope that this works out. Seeing as Shadow really wants to go to the Shadowfell above all others and most of the players seem to be fine with any choice, really, we will start there unless other decisions will be made over the next few days.
