The Journey Begins

The star streak past faster and faster until they seemingly meld into the somewhat solid blue of hyperspace, guiding the "Lucky 13" away from Eden Station and toward the Cularin System. Having been extorted by spaceport officials and spied on by an unknown Pantoran who is now captive in their cargo hold, the crew, with the addition of a new member,  spend their time in hyperspace deciding what to do next...

The Journey Begins

The swirling blue of hyperspace always calmed him for some reason. He hadn't travelled a lot when he was with the planetary security forces, so it was still a wondrous sight for him. Once they were safely in hyperspace, Ryer, pried his eyes away from the transparisteel window and searched out the other crewmembers. He wasn't sure who was in charge, if anyone, so he found several of them together. He spoke up, cordially. "Might I suggest our first order of business is to find out what the spy knows and who hired him. Who else might be after them, etc."

He cocked his head and continue his train of thought. "It will be nigh impossible to come up with a plan without much more information about the possible dangers and adversaries involved. From what Armond relayed to me that, there are likely to be several groups after the object we are tasked to retrieve. Perhaps this spy might know the other factions involved as well as his own employer." He glanced around at their faces and studied their expressions to see if they were at least in agreement on this front.

Lokh agrees with Ryer and begins relocating the prisoner to the air lock. Nothing like the threat of being dumped out of a ship at speeds faster than the speed of light to loosen tongues.

Marook is up front piloting the ship to the intended location. It is a bit down a small hallway, but he can hear and respond.

"I look forward to hearing what you guys find out. Just remember he is worth 2000 credits and some ill will with the Empire at this point. These kinds of guys always know something, somebody, or somewhere something is located that is worth something.  Getting that back should be on the agenda as well."

The Arkanian nodded his head. He spun gracefully, his long white hair swirled around his shoulders as he followed the Devaronian to the airlock. Once they arrived and opened the airlock, he drew his blaster, quick as lightning. He had it aimed in an instant directly at the Pantoran's right eye. He raised his voice loud enough so that blue skinned humanoid could hear him clearly, but faced Lokh. "If you can't get him to talk, then let m use him for target practice before you make him part of the space trash. I'll start with his ankles and work my way up until he decides how many blaster burns he wants to suffer before he gives us the information we need." He then fixed his gaze squarely on the spy, knitting his brow into a scowl. His voice dripped with seething menace, as he relayed his threat. "I will know if you are lying to us. I was bred and trained from a very young age on knowing when suspects are telling the truth or not. If that happens, you'll be begging for the Devaronian to let you get sucked out of the airlock."

OOC: I will assume he would be awake from the stun by now.. otherwise I may have to revise my post. Consider my action above for at least an unskilled assist for a Boost to Lokh's coercion attempt. I do have ranks in deception (1P 2A), so really my character is not able to tell if he is lying very well (my Discipline has no ranks and only 2 ability), but perhaps my deception might help loosen his tongue. Though its not a deception that Ryer will start shooting non-vital parts of him to get him to answer if it comes to that.. so that's truthful.. :)

Lokh's voice was cool as ice. This was a routine, every day, run-of-the-mill interrogation session. He kicked people out the airlock all the time.

"Alright, start talking. The more you talk, the less likely we are to hit this ejection button."

11:56, Today: Lokh Gollas rolled 4 successes using the Star Wars Edge of the Empire with a dice pool of 1A 1p 1b.  coercion.

The Journey Begins

The Pantoran stands in the cargo hold of the "Lucky 13", visibly shaken after waking from unconsciousness.

"Look, there are a lot of beings that will pay good money for information. I mostly just collect info and peddle it to anybody willing to pay. I don't typically do contract work but I kind of didn't have a choice in this instance. I'll tell you who sent me, but promise me you won't take me back to that station...or anywhere in Hutt Space."

The Arkanian Offshoot stepped back and motioned for Lokh to step off to the side, whispering out of earshot, but keeping his gun pointed at the Pantoran. "I wouldn't promise not taking him anywhere. The fact that he mentioned this could mean we might be able to collect on a bounty for him in Hutt Space or Eden Station. We need to get his name, a real name, if possible. I'm surprised he didn't ask us to promise not to kill him." he shook his head chuckled at the Pantoran's skewed priorities. "Anyways, I would suggest that he doesn't get to bargain where we take him. Just that we won't kill him if he gives us useful info."

Lokh glared down at the Pantoran shifting his head so the horns caught the light, parting his lips so his pointed teeth were as menacing as possible.

"Right now you're next destination is hyperspace without a ship. Start talking and you might...might be able to convince us to drop you off someplace a bit more...hospitable."

The Journey Begins

The Pantoran pauses for only a brief moment, seemingly considering his situation and its possible outcomes. With a sigh of acquiescence, he begins to speak with a somber tone and his eyes fixed on the hard durasteel floor of the ship, as if he already knows what awaits him either way.

"It was Grakkus, the Hutt. He is an avid collector of pre-imperial artifacts. He pays top credits for any information about them, no matter how vague or outlandish it may be. I've informed for him in the past and this seemed like a sure fire payday."

He looks up into Lokh's and Ryer's eyes witha hopeful visage. "Please, just drop me off somewhere far from Hutt Space. I'll be no more trouble for anyone."

OOC: No roll necessary. The initial roll is enough to get him to talk. The rest is just RP. As for where you currently are, its pretty solidly in Hutt Space near Nar Shaddaa. The journey to Cularin will be following the Gamor Run Hypserspace lane to the Corellian Run. Possible places to drop him would be Aridus, Gamor, Milagro, Bacrana, or Cularin itself.

Ryer eyed the Pantoran with suspicion, "we will decide what to do with you once we've checked out your story."

The Arkanian probed a little deeper to find out what has the spy spooked, and get more information out of him. He had little respect for people that dealt with Hutts voluntarily. "If you are just selling information, why are you afraid of Hutt space? You don't have anything to sell, so why would the Hutt be after you? Unless you've sold information to a rival, or something like that? Are you in debt to someone there?"

OOC: Once again, Ryer would like to roll perception to see his reaction to any his last statements.

Lokh raises an eyebrow and his hand slowly starts drifting towards the airlock purge button.

"What? Technically speaking it's what he asked..."

Meanwhile in the cockpit Marook is checking the nav computer and making sure the ship is flying where they want it to go. He is doing a little whistling as he goes along. It is not exactly in tune, but isn't shrill. He watches as the star lines roll by the ship and it's comfortable crew glad to have work since his funds are so low. He needed to pick up a good pistol as a backup weapon at some point and maybe some real armor.

"It's a family debt. I am useful enough to stave off the worst of the 'payments' by bringing good information. It's either that or Grakkus is coming to collect on that debt and credits wont satisfy him." The Pantoran turns away in shame, showing even less hope of mercy than before.

Ryer held up a hand, gesturing for the Devaronian to hold off on opening the air lock, and shifted his gaze back to the Pantoran. The Arkanian's voice was stern. "I told you that I can discern lies very well. You are not telling us everything about your issues with the Hutt. Look, my friend over here is anxious to give you the zero g tour without a suit after trying to shoot him at Eden station, so you need to start telling us everything. Why would he want to spy on us or Armond? Have you heard about others looking for information about the archaeological finds? You'd better provide us with truthful and useful information if you want us to let you go. Since you gather and sell information, I know you have some. "
