I've added you all to the cast so far... Might I suggest that you discuss, here, what you're gonna do? Maybe bouncing ideas off each other might help...?

EDIT: Jon, are you gonna stick with Death? Or do something else? ...Ariadne might give Death a try, if you don't want it...

One of the ideas that I had, was that there was no real after life, but a font of life that the energy of all things returns to and is then recycled.
When a sentient being dies, instead the soul is cleansed the soul of it previous life and the good or evil that it did; then returned to the font of life for it to be recycled.

This plans into my original idea for the God of Death, which I am working on.

What do you all think?

Do we want to start with the Void ?
Or more advanced timeline where the planet is mostly made ?

I think the awakening of the universe and the conceptualization of the gods would be a good place to start :)
I will give us all a chance to start to figure out our characters.

Ideas:
From the void, the chaos cooled and order followed and the Font of Life formed and with it, Death. For all things that begin must also have an end to maintain the balance of chaos and order, lest all be erased.

Folds arms and has a pouty kid face.
"Your not taking my friends away !" Touches ancient dragon turning it into an egg again.

*smiles* "My dear, death comes for all eventually.  But it is not a bad thing, I return them to the Font of Life and they are reborn anew." he says with a kind and gentle voice. "There is nothing to fear." pats her gently on the head with affection. "Allowing them to reach their natural end is a gift, for they get to be something new.  And you get the joy of learning about them anew.  Finding something different."

Allows the head pat because it feels good.

Then, "Uggg big people talk, afraid, who says I'm afraid ?" Inhales puffing up with air but also faux pride.

"If they are new, how will I know it's my friends ?"
Scooches egg behind her protectively.

*smiles* "Ah, Xan, but that is the joy of it.  Discovering them anew, finding something different."

"Different ? yeah mom is a big fan of different. I don't bring friends home too much or she changes them. Will they even remember were friends ?"

We can have more than one God of Death.  Ariadne's take is probably going to be different than my own.

I had a misunderstanding, which is why I was wishy washy on Death.

So two votes of starting with the void and going from there.

1. Oh, are you Ballad, Lyric? I honestly didn't grasp that.

2. Jon: We can't have two gods of DEATH as SUCH, but you can each have different aspects, it's true...

I am! and, well, it has been an age since you had to look at my username. Maybe there's just something about Lance that says 'sky'...

I feel pretty neutral re: where we begin. Void or slightly after void or once there are cities to walk among or what. :) Pretty easy over here.

But I see no need to.  If we start with the void and move forward, Gods are not always created at the same time.

Also could you change my character name to Isan? :)
