General Roleplaying Rules in this game.

Everyone plays games for enjoyment.  Please remember that.  Treat the other players nicely.  Your character does not have to treat the other characters nicely if that is appropriate to the story, but there is no reason to light up another player for any perceived slights.

Players will generally have access to three threads at any time.  The in-character thread that is accessible to you at the time.  This can change if the players split up, but you will always be in a I-C thread.  You will also have access to a OOC (out of character) thread.  This one is used if you want to bullshit with the other players, you have rules questions, or whatever else you want that the characters have nothing to do with.  Finally, each player will have their own private thread.  This thread will only be accessible to you and to me.  This one will be used for me to flesh out your character without everyone knowing about it.  It will also be for you to give me information.  An example would be motivations or private intentions of your character (I want to shoot that NPC that the party is supposed to be protecting because I don't like people who wear leather jackets, but I want to do it when nobody is looking).  This type of thing can be done with PMs inside the main text, but it does allow you to elaborate or ask questions without gumming up the thread.

The IC thread is for the storytelling.  Only include posts that help tell the story.  Also, this is a communal story.  Only relate what can be seen by someone else.  What your character thinks or feels about something should be avoided.  Thoughts and feelings should certainly be role-played.  Ex.  BAD - Indiana Jones sees the floor writhing in snakes.  He never liked snakes, they are creepy and some of them are even poisonous!  Plus, there was that incident when he was a kid.  GOOD - Indiana Jones sees the floor writhing in snakes.  His faces goes pale.  With a visible shudder he says, "Snakes.  Why did it have to be snakes?"

When your character speaks, please put the spoken words in a different color.  I don't care what color.  Pick one and stick with it.  Don't pick one that someone else is using.  You do not have to use quote marks for speaking if you don't want to, the color will signify this.

This game is marked as mature.  Please make sure you understand what that means and don't go too far.  I can and will change it to adult if necessary, but I don't think that it should be necessary.

I want everyone to enjoy themselves.  Don't be afraid to leave me (constructive) feedback in your private line.  Don't be afraid to tell me what your character would like to achieve and see in the future.

Finally, don't piss off the GM.  All sorts of nasty things happen in the time of the red.  Heck, I even once saw a swarm of rats bust into a room and eat a player that wasn't playing well with the others (see rule 1).
