General Rules

Pretty standard stuff. If you're familiar with rpol, nothing here is new or surprising.

1. Pick a color. Dialogue should always be represented by your character's color. Actions and descriptions should not. If your character is thinking, use italics with coloration. Gray is my dialogue color and I will use it for all NPCs. Avoid Blue, Red, Yellow, Orange, and Green, as those are reserved for OOC accent colors (for example roll results or to indicate NPC allegiance in the initiative lists).

2. I write my posts in past tense. It's what I prefer, and while I encourage you to do the same, you're free to write in present tense if that's what you're comfortable with.

3. OOC(Out-Of-Character) conversation is restricted to its own thread. Meta-information (like declaring dice rolls or noting down loot or anything else in this manner) can be included as orange text in your IC posts. But if you have questions, please use the OOC thread.

4. If you need to take a break from the game, notify me. If you think your posting rate will suffer in the coming weeks because of whatever reason, notify me. If you choose to leave the game, notify me. It is totally acceptable, no questions asked, and there will be no hard feelings. Simply just bored of the game? Feel free to leave. Just notify me. Not posting for 2 weeks will lead to an inquiry in your PMs. Not posting for 3 weeks will lead to a stern warning. Not posting or responding to my inquiries for 4 weeks will lead to your removal from the game at my discretion.

5. As a matter of principle, all dice must be rolled in the site's dice roller so I can view and verify. I will do the same.

6. In combat, I always roll initiative for all parties and then provide you with a turn-order list. In order to not hold up the entire group, you have 24 hours to make your post (give or take), before I decide on the actions of your character and the turn advances. If it becomes my turn, I usually give a heads up when I will post so that you may squeeze in your own post if you get the opportunity.

7. Because of prior incidents where the OOC was flooded, we try to keep discussion of rules either in PMs or in its own thread. See "Discussions of Rules and Rulings". All players are allowed to post there and welcome to take part in any discussion going on!

8. All of us should aim for 2-3 IC posts per week. Less and you need to post more frequently, more and you need to post less frequently. The players and the DM should strive to communicate clearly in the OOC if they expect to fail to meet this rate. Likewise, if posts are too frequent, breaks shall be encouraged to allow all participants the opportunity to contribute.
