Yep, you've got a set for yourself; they need to be Attuned to, so keep that in mind for your Attunement slots.  The supplies Mallory acquired from the Ice Trolls were basically handwaved as sufficient to supply the Party - minus the Goliaths, who don't need them - with such boots before she ran out.  Since Idri has stepped out, there's still enough kit on hand to make a set for Tympani later as well, if she'd like a pair.  Going to need to do some more quests first though; Mallory's purse is tapped right now from all the crafting and spell acquisition she's been doing.

Mallory also has a basic Potion of Healing for everyone, and a few diamonds for Stormheart as the usual Cleric Tax for Revivify.  We'll get around to having everyone sorted out once we've all had a chance to settle a bit and get past our introductions.

There may be some conflicting motivations on where the characters should head that we need to sort out, but I suggest we wait until Mallory has had her meeting with Speaker Duvessa. Does anyone else want to join Mallory for that?

I'll tag along.  But someone has to stop Tym from trundling off to Lonelywood.

Rhydd would probably go, if only to pull the sunbirds [the polar opposite of what us Floridians call tourists: snowbirds :)] out of any snowbanks that they tumble into (I have a mental image of Tym or Mallory emulating the Wicked Witch of the West, with only some wiggling feet sticking up out of a snowbank). :)

Anyone else want to chime in on anything before Mallory infodumps on a serial murder plot line?  It's kind of a mood shift.

Sorry, getting crushed with work and a little sick, so not much of  post from me.

I was wondering what went on there.  I read Mallory's post.  Then came back and it was different.

I'm content with the current scene, let me know if you are as well. The next piece on the agenda would be the meeting with Duvessa. Does Mallory wish to visit the Geldenstag as well to see Dannika?

I'd say so but only if Dannika or someone else at the Geldenstag has narrative/other plot goals to bring to the Party's attention, otherwise it might best be briefly summarized as opposed to being wholly played out.  Mallory 100% wants to see Dannika and the Chwinga again, as an in-character drive.  As exemplified with Luskan, I'm quite happy to socialize with NPCs all the live-long day, but I think that'd be terribly rude of me to make everyone wait while Mallory checks names off her dance card.

So if there isn't any broader information/opportunities for the Party as a whole, I'd say we can keep the visits brief in compilation.  Mallory's primary focus with Dannika would be to hand over the gifts she's bought and maybe some of the Netherese Tomes she got from the Spire, and bring Dannika up to date on everything that's happened.  As for Duvessa, that's also mostly a personal visit on Mallory's behalf, though it does concern future events with Naerth and Targos as well, so that bit should be given a proper address.

As a reminder, the gifts Mallory has in this case are:

- Fine Woolen Scarf (Sapphire with tassels); gift for Moyrah, will be handed over directly before they part ways.
- Chwinga-Sized Doll Clothes (3 outfits); gift for the Chwinga.
- Book; "From Ghouls to Ghosts", unknown author; gift for Dannika.
- Book; Original Netherese Tome - Ajamar's Guide to the Phantastic; gift for Dannika.
- Book; Original Netherese Tome - The Unfettered Mind; gift for Dannika, with expressed interest as a contribution to Candlekeep's archives for future networking.

Mallory will also spare a bit more of her general foodstuffs to make sure Dannika has something sweet or sour to enjoy, based on her own personal tastes.

We'll do a scene with Dannika, although I suggest we keep it to a minimal amount of posts (as a fun exercise! :) ).

Is there are problem with the rest of the cast joining Mallory for the meeting with Duvessa? I have no idea what you want to discuss. It's natural for Rhydd and Khulekani to be there, less so for Stormheart and Tym, although I foresee that we will manage.

Once I hear from the rest we can wrap things up in the Northlook.

There's no problem with the rest of the Party being there; it's just that Mallory's intention is to have a personal conversation - not private, necessarily, but simply something that's important to her rather than linked to any larger scale Party business.  It may lead to more Party stuff, depending on where the chat goes, but Mallory plans to say her piece and would be satisfied if it just ended up being that alone.  It's a character beat thing.

Roger that. We'll do the meeting with Duvessa in plenum, then Mallory can request a briefer private audience should it be necessary.

Tym has no objections to tagging along with Mallory.  Always nice to meet new people.  A nice change of pace from rushing around in search of Maerthryl as well.

BTW, you mention Moyrah accompanying Mallory to Geldenstag's Rest.  Are the rest of us there as well?  I'd hate to barge in where not wanted.

And, if you'd like a little private time with Dannika later, I'm sure that Tym could find other things to do later.

I'd say it's up to you?  Everyone is welcome to follow along as they please or maybe spread out/remain where they are before we set out for Easthaven sooner or later, so feel free to chime in where you like.

We're not spending long in Geldenstag's. I find it natural for Tympani to remain in the Northlook.

Not gonna lie, I'm mostly not posting to try and make sure Rhydd and Khulekani have a chance to post before Mallory and Tymphani flood the scene again anyway, lol.

I think that Rhydd would stay put in the Northlook, drinking a little and catching up on the news with Scramsax -- discussing mutual acquaintances, the current rumors, and whatnot. Social calls are not his cup of tea.

However, he would have given strict instructions not to start out for Easthaven without him. :)

Do you mind if I keep going in the Come Storm thread?  I still need to get some grounding in the story so far.  I'm also not entirely satisfied with Tympani's voice yet, and it would help to exercise it.
