House Rules

Basically using 1st ed. AD&D, original books only with the exception of the spells from Unearthed Arcana and the slight exception, if desired and there is a thief, of using the 2nd ed. thief because I like allowing the player to focus his skills points as desired.

Max hit points at first level, and heroic hit dice thereafter. Heroic hit dice guarantee you you half the max plus one. For example if you are a fighter, instead of rolling a d10, you roll a d5+5.

Rolling stats is as follows, 4d6, re-roll all ones, use the best three dice.

Racial limitations are being observed, and alignment is expected to be played. No evil characters please, the tone, at least at the start, is to be light.

My thoughts as to the party is as follows. As each of you will be playing two characters, I would like one to be native born, and one an outsider. I would like each persons outsider to be closest to someone else's local, if that isn't too disconcerting.

Death and I Scream

-10 is dead.

Under most circumstances if a person drops below zero they bleed one point per round until dead.

Bandaging a wound can stop someone from bleeding out until dead.

Bandaging a wound takes half as many rounds as the person has negative hit points rounded to a full round.

-1 or -2 takes 1 round
-3 or -4 takes 2 rounds...

Any magical means of healing stops all bleeding.

Everyone heals one hit point/level/nights sleep, eight hours rest.
