We're at the 24 hour mark! At this time tomorrow is the cutoff for applications. I already have a ton of amazing character submissions, and absolutely love some that I'm seeing. Anyone who isn't selected will remain on on the backlist, in case we ever need a replacement. I definitely want to thank everyone in advance for the amazing ideas you've come up with!

Anyone reading who hasn't submitted a concept yet, you have until tomorrow!

Sounds like some interesting characters!

Just rolled up my own stats. GM, have you heard of the variant where everyone rolls stats, and then anyone can choose any of the sets of rolls? You still get the luck of rolling, but it balances things out a bit more. And looking at the existing rolls, you could imagine some people choosing Chayamaya's balanced rolls and some choosing Sienna's to get that second 18, so you still have some diversity in stats.

Just a thought!

Yeouch! I'll let Eris reroll, there's an old rule from 3.5 that allowed rerolls if none of the attributes are above 13, anyway.

Sienna tends to move around a lot when not part of a group, just fyi.   Being either an existing group or working with some of the group already, is perfectly fine.

Edit: Now that I think on it, it would probably make more sense if we were all in the same group.  Or at least in the same place, not that I want to limit anyone's backstory.

Ok, pending someone rolling better stats, I should be good.

In terms of the group, Jak's backstory is that he often acts as a sort of guide between the material world and the First World. He is human, but has several connections with the fey world. I could easily know those who are more fey in the party (Sienna and Eris) via that.

Rabbit, you not liking fey is definitely going to make things interesting though...

Re: OOOCT:

Chayamaya used to live on a mountain with her mom, but then her mom was killed by an orc. Then she lived in a temple with some monks and learned how to punch things. She's like REALLY good at punching things. She changed teachers because her teacher was emulating the guy the orcs who killed her mom worship. She found the object of her revenge the orc who killed her mom was dead and while he was a murderer and a thief, he was still a person. So when she was presented with the chance to kill everyone he ever loved she passed. And that's when she founds out she does have a dad he's alive, and a monkey.

Spoiler text: (Highlight or hover over the text to view)
...oh and an empyrial Lord.

So she was going to punch some demons really hard, but she's taking a rain-check on generic demon destroying because the world could be in danger and that's important to her because she lives in the world.

Re: OOOCT:

Let's see, in terms of group.  Sienna falls easily into the role of healer, having both the magical abilities of a life oracle as well as being virtually unmatched in terms of more "ordinary" (i.e. skill use) as a healer.  She also provides support during combat, sometimes in the form of fireballs and others in buff style spells.

She's also competent crafter of magic items, and often uses Keep Watch to allow the group more time to get things done.  She's very much the type to give aid without expecting repayment, which sometimes leads her to wander off into the poor part of town to provide assistance to those who can't pay.

I gave Azregh a pretty open ended backstory for meeting with other PCs, in the form of traveling up and down Golarion more or less at random with his gnome friend. Something could easily be done with that to tie in with someone else.

Mechanics wise I just have to pick out a last couple of bonus feats, burn some wbl, by which I mean all of it, and I'm good to go.

You can't really work under Keep Watch. It only specifies fighting as vigorous activity, but trying to accomplish any real work -- mental or physical -- can also be strenuous enough to interrupt the spell. You can keep watch, read, have conversations, and do light duty chores (cooking, tending equipment, etc.).

On that note, Rabit, would you like me to open a second character up for you for your wolf? And if so, what name would you like? Otherwise I've received and looked over everyone's sheet and everything looks fine.

P.S., you do not want to get hit by Chayamaya. Her vital strike numbers scare me. :P

Re: OOOCT:

Excited to start, and happy new year everyone!

I was just looking over my sheet and realized I never put in my bloodrager class abilities. Just put those in.
I also realized there's a rule ambiguity that I should get clarified in advance of game-play. My wildshape grants me a poison, but it's unclear what the DC should be. The poison DC is 10+1/2 HD + con modifier. If it's based on the spell, it would be 10 + spell level + casting modifier, but what is the spell level and casting modifier of wild shape? Neither are super clear. Could I get a ruling on that?

Yeah, mythic vital strike is quite nasty. Jak's strategy is going natural attacks and pounce which is also pretty nasty, but each attack is definitely lighter.

Wolf's sheet should be finished, barring any errors. I did retrain two feats, I can pay for it if you want - I left a fair bit of gold over for things like this. Basically what I needed was just to take two feats that aren't on the animal companion base list before I got intelligence up to 3 and unlocked other feats. They're both pretty straightforward things, just more skill ranks and better maneuvers while flanking.

Basically, Wolf is really phenomenal at biting people and pulling their legs out from under them. He's pretty scary in that niche.
