Game info and house rules
I don’t have many house rules. Most are outlined in the character creation section (feat/level, max HP, etc.), so for the most part this section is notes on the game setting and my GMing style and philosophies.
Posting Rate: I’d like to aim for 1/day if possible, with a minimum of 3/week.
Posting quality: I’m not a huge fan of 1-line posts. I don’t want novels, but a paragraph isn’t too much to ask. Even in a short conversation, include a sentence or two about your character’s body language, expression, etc. As typical, please pick a color for your character’s dialogue, and Orange is reserved for OOC info.
Actual house rule: As this is a Mythic game and may reach tier 10, as well as level 20 and beyond, I make one alteration to Mythic Wish. You cannot use it to dictate anyone else’s die rolls.
Regarding COMBAT: I like to keep things flowing. High-level combat can be complicated, but please post daily during fights. We’ll track initiative separately but you can post in any order; enemies will usually act at the end of each round (or beginning if they surprised you), and I’ll sort the results of your actions into initiative order when I post the enemies’ actions.
As levels increase, I tend to avoid mook-fights even in tabletop games. I encourage you to find your own ways around encounters, with or without violence, and character advancement is not based on XP from battle.
Setting: We’re using Golarion, but loosely. We won’t get too caught up in what is or isn’t canon. I don’t have all the splat books, and content from the pre-written adventures won’t have any bearing here. You'll be starting in Varisia, and can expect to visit Nidal, Irrisen, and the Land of the Linnorm Kings; in addition to the Darklands (underground), the First World, and the Plane of Shadow. Characters may have shared backgrounds, and at the outset the group will be responding to a letter each of you has received (more info later).
