The Ruins

The fiends must be driven back. And what better place to begin than the seat of our noble line? Seriously, though - get these things out of my house!

You arrive at the foreboding structure, and time is strange here. You note that it seems you have one hour until the setting of the sun, regardless of what time it actually is outside. You know this instinctively, even without an understanding of magic, because I said you do.

The four of you - draconic troll, goliath mummy, fey'ri, and iron man - have a short time to spend. Wasting time here is ill-advised, despite my expectations of you. Find the Occallium, quickly.

OOC: You have one hour when you enter, or more importantly sixty minutes. Each battle consumes one of your sixty minutes, because I don't want to keep precise track of time. Each time you Take 20, that's two minutes per time you do that, unless multiple people Take 20 at the same time for what I hope are obvious reasons, so make it count when you do that. If all sixty minutes are used up, I'll give you one encounter which will be a warning to withdraw, and I'll hopefully make it clear that you should take the retreat.

Dark, with torn curtains and only the dimmest of light entering here, this stonework structure was made for defense. In its prime, before the fires gutted its interior, this stoic manor was designed as much for luxury as much as an expression of martial power.

There are three doors before you - one left, one right, and one directly ahead. I suggest not splitting up. Choose well, heroes - the real adventure begins here.

The Ruins

Jarn sees the three doors and briefly thinks about the parties decision then he realizes he doesn't give a shit and decides to take the easy option. Straight threw the center.

Jarn charges the center door.

20:03, Today: Jarnbrautarlest rolled 20 using 1d20+15. Smashing door.

What was meant to be a shoulder tackle turns into a flying a head-butt as jarn slip's on shit and goes face first into the door.

As Ironson watchs Jarn headbutt the door a vague feeling of nostalgia goes through his empty skull and a faint smile forms on his dry lips.

Ironson takes his flaming Nailbat in hand and moves into position should Jarn prove insufficient to fell the door.

Robin and Durque look at eachother and back at Jarn, curious if his unusual method of door bashing will be effective.

The Ruins

The impact of Jarnbrautarlest slipping on what was actually a bit of normally benign slime mold noticeably shakes some dust and flakes off of the walls in the room, and the door they were charging at creaks open, cracking just a little bit to reveal the tenebrous depths of the ruined manor.

Congratulations. You got the door open. You may proceed either down the hall, or perhaps you'd like to charge another door and expect different results?

Robin can't contain her laughter as the fact the door wasn't locked becomes evident.

Durque just smiles.

Robin makes a gesture to open the door on his left, while she opens the one on their right.

"We should probably head down the center room so we can work together. Jarn doesn't seem like one to stop."

With that said he follows Jarn.

"Fair enough, come on Durque." Robin take the covided middle spot in the group of huge people, or next to Jarn if it is more of a 2 by 2 formation. And Durque takes up rear duty either way.

The Ruins

The tenebrous depths of the halls show their age and weight, but so far, no threats seem to have responded to the presence of the light piercing its passage. The walls are bereft of anything of value, with only ash marks and occasional wall slime. Durque's keen eyes can see one thing - a strange ruined booth of some kind, room intended for two beings. It seems to have served some kind of clerical service for the devout, which makes its presence in MY the Heir's house a mystery even to me.

What do you do?

"Indeed. Let us continue onward."

Then he follows Jarn into the next room. But checks to see if the door is open this time.
