Character Creation

A step-by-step guide to Creating a Character for this game.  You need a copy of the CP Red book, or ask me if you don't have it, though it will take longer that way.  All rolls on the dice roller here, please.

Step 1 is pick a role, you've done that already.  Your role ability starts at Rank 4.

Step 2: Run the lifepath.

I will let you pick Cultural Origins,Personality, Dress and Personal Style, Motivations and Relationships, Things you value most.

You MUST roll the Background (1d10), the environment, and your family crisis.  If the first two don't make any sense together talk to me.

Roll for any friends, Enemies or Tragic Love Affairs.  Each is 1d10-7, minimum zero.

You can pick your life goals as well.

Step 3: Roll Statistics.  I'm going to use the Street Rat statistics Charts, so just roll 1d10 and read across to get your stats.  This guarantees everyone has the same number of points and has a balanced set of stats.

Step 4: calculate derived stats.

Step 5: Set your skills.  I will go Complete Package on the skills.  Instructions on p. 90.  Don't forget your Basic Skill have to be purchased at Rank 2 minimum, and no skill can be higher than 6.

Step 6:  Going with Complete Package here as well: you get 2550 eb for Weapons, Armor, Gear, Fashion, Cyberware, you can keep the change.  You also get 800 eb just for Fashion or Fashionware, you cannot keep the change.

That's it.  We can talk lifestyle, housing and if you want to "sell out" after.

Please put a description of your character, and a reasonably sized picture, in the Character Description so all of the players can see it and know you.

I don't have a format for a character sheet, let's just keep it simple and organized.  If you want to link in a sheet from DropBox or Google Drive, I'm fine with that, but still put the details in the character sheet space here.

I put a copy of the official RTG RED character sheet, form fillable, at this link in my DropBox:

You can copy the sheet and use it for your character, either leaving a copy in my Dropbox folder, or giving me a link to where ever you have it.

Either way, put your statistics, cyberware & gear, weapons & armor, and important skills in the character sheet space in the game forum.  Important skills are any Basic Skills over 2 and all non-basic skills.

Regarding Humanity Loss for cyberware:

Take the average HL per RAW.

Remember, your Empathy is the first digit of your Humanity total.  It means you lose one Empathy with your first HL.  This is how I read p. 80 rules on Humanity.  The example is clear:  Humanity lowered to 44, 4 Empathy.  Humanity lowered to 39, 3 Empathy.
