RTJ - Character Creation
All characters must be mages, to some degree or another. They don't have to be magery 3, and can be lower level (1 or 2) reflecting an earlier stage in their education.

While it's customary for younger students to be in the earlier stages, it's not uncommon for more mature people to attend the Order's academy later in life. In short, there's opportunity for all kinds of characters whether you want to be particularly magic focused or not.

In terms of points, I'd like to keep this open to the player's determination but I would like to also insist that characters make some kind of textured and realistic characters. For example 'Rank' will play a major role, as will social traits. I would also like to insist that spell lists follow a kind of 'sensible' pattern. I'm happy to view suggestions for new spells also that players have created/made.

Also there are 'alternative' spells to most that are the "missile" variant. For example: "Stun" can be learned as a a missile spell instead.


Included in RTJ:

1) Statement of age (over 18)
2) Character name
3) Character Concept
4) Character description

5) Character sheet
It's probably worth discussing the first 4 before you fully flesh out a character. Just so that no time is wasted when having to potentially alter the concept.
