Re: OOC: Status
The tag on that visibility thing had two possible hitches: Sue's physical body having motions in line with someone activating some special ability, and the visibility of the effects of the shield.
If Sue doesn't move when activating the shields, he can't make any connection there (especially when ya got shot.) If she did move, Rocket had (and lost) a chance to notice her movements and an unexpected variable line up without other explanations. That said, Spider-Woman's webs drew his attention away from you, and the movement part was suddenly limited to sound. I didn't consider the timing of Spider-Woman acting before you strongly enough, figuring Rocket had a chance to see such movements before he turned around to what happened behind me. So after reconsidering; my question is currently irrelevant. I'll consider any offered answer as far as movement goes a 'future reference' thing.
If Sue's force fields didn't visibly stop any rounds (as that wasn't specified when I asked) due to being inside Spider-Woman's web shield, Rocket wouldn't have had a chance to know you did anything at all.
As is though, he's tacking on disconnected evidence to his pile of 'stuff going on.' His Psych skill does combo well with his enhanced senses, and events in the aftermath so far is lining right up with his intent to find what he can use to get out of here. He'll get there soon enough I suspect... or diplomacy will win before he gets there.
Unrelated: Wow, an 18 on disarm? Best Rocket could hope to do is match it. I knew what I was going to have him do before even reading the numbers, but that's quite a first roll. Nice! ...though I don't have any real intent on using the 1, I suspect someone else will when I feel it's time to post.
As far as 'tit for tat' goes, I feel it would be unfair to prevent somebody to respond to getting shot at because they were at work, sleeping, or something equivalent. Not to mention their character's reactions are certainly being measured. After all, if someone seams unusually ok with everything going on, maybe they're less prisoner and more warden... opening up another possible exit route. And that's not counting all responses.
Oh, wait, is Rocket about to actively contribute to more problems? We'll find out after I see a few more posts. :3 I'm extra confident no-one will wind up dead at this stage.
EDIT: two someones now for the unusually calm camp. And one of them is reeaaal quiet...
- even if his ability to follow that I fired AFTER they returned is a bit suspect.
- - Then again, complaints about this being hard to follow was voiced.
- - - Re-reading, only one post left to wait for.
