Re: OOC

Vyktor draws his sword and salutes in that archaic fashion, his fellow afflicted. Perhaps it was all a dream?

Best to you Chokahr. The world's just getting heavier by the day. Muscle through it!

@DM(s) - I'm a little confused about the Coffin-maker's fight. Did we have a surprise round and now we're starting round 1?

Re: OOC

I'm not sure which thread to post in. Guidance welcome, please.

Specifically, do we reach the inn? Or where do we end up en route?

Re: OOC

I would like to know that, too!

Also - should we rp through the quick convo with any guard we pass? About turning Rictavio in to the authorities. I'm good either way, it's just going to be 'hey, there's a huge wild animal in the stockyard in the performer wagon that the owner is planning on releasing into the nearby area' type of thing.

Re: OOC

Thanks for asking, we are still kinda establishing how to handle the big town. I was aware that you said you wanted to do that in character, but it is easier for me if you do it in character rather than having me make it happen without me knowing for sure that you are doing it.

Does that make sense???

Instead of me saying "they went and talked to a guard"

You say "i go find a guard and if i find one this is what i say:"

Then you can write your own transition to the Inn by just posting in that thread.

But since you told me what you want in OOC i can just railroad you so you don't have to do all that now, since i am finally sitting down at the pc for the first time since Thursday.

Re: OOC

No, it has been round 1 and the first two players to post got surprise advantage, now the other two players need to post to finish round 1 so that I can take my round 1 turn, then it will be round 2.

I will roll for Chokahr, but I believe he will not fare well against the vampires. God speed Chokahr. You are going to die.

At least Viktor will be able to get healed up.

Re: OOC

I never established if silver weapons are magical.

They aren't, but Chokahr's was a +2 and I believe anything that has a + makes it magical?

As long as everyone agrees I will add that to the house rules.

Re: OOC

I've always played that way unless the upgrade is otherwise noted, ie. high quality of dwarven steel, expertly sharpened, masterwork craftsmanship, etc.

Also, Vyktor's Pact Weapon is his pistol and counts as magic... But rule of cool, that was pretty rad to have the vampire show her chest and have the hole close up. I didn't know they could do that. Scary!

I’ve always been a fan of Silver Weapons dealing damage against werewolves & vampires alike. What if Ceila Blessed mundane weapons?

Re: OOC

Vyk, I took the full damage from your pistol but they auto heal on their turn unless they are hit with radiant dmg, which you do with your sacred flame. If you were flavoring your sacred flame as a pistol shot I totally didn't catch it, but I don't think you were.

Jun, ehhhh. Kinda cheap but if you really feel like you need it I'll allow it and next time just make less wereravens help.

I'm flavoring most everything through the pistol... Sacred Flame and Eldritch strike, but I'll note that OOC when I do, othewise it's to be assumed as a regular shot. That way if I ever have the chance to enchant the pistol or find a 'magic' one, or magical ammo, it's still distinguishable. I've gone through several iterations of character builds with guns and magic and this one seems, so far, the cleanest and least kludgy, and pretty by-the-book.

The first shot through the coffin lid was just a regular shot, the second, when she was on the ceiling, was a Sacred Flame. Nimble little minx won't dodge the next one!

Weres (lycanthropes) are vulnerable to silver, but I'm not familiar of D&D Vampires being vulnerable to silver...

Re: OOC

Older editions varied. Running water harming vampires is a weird choice for 5E. Vampires traditionally couldn’t cross running water.

Well, not me, because I am back after leaving you lonely for two weeks, and some DMs will ghost you forever. But yeah, you can call me the worst if you want.
