Sorry for disappearing guys. I'm suffering from a bout of depression and am unable to resume the game at this point. Best of luck.

That is a tough one. I have been there as well and still battle that dark hole.
I hope you can make it back to us.

Re: Mess Hall: The Out of Character Thread

Agreed wholeheartedly.

Take care of yourself and if you can make it back to here great, if not just keep doing what you need to do to make things right for yourself.

Re: Mess Hall: The Out of Character Thread

Good intentioned wishes from strangers tend to mean 0 to someone going through personal things but nonetheless good luck with your woes Naeva and though it is obviously bottom of the priority list I'm sure we can keep your seat warm if you decide you wanna come back later. Point being is don't worry about the game, focus on yourself.

Good question from Varil, who CAN drive, and who can drive well?

While not everyone can navigate, everyone can drive, and Wolfram is at best an average driver.

Re: Mess Hall: The Out of Character Thread

Nope.  They’ve got no skills, no stats and only a simple wound block: unharmed, wounded and dead.  All the orders you give them end up solely being bonuses to you or you being able to use your skill through them.

Even the one game I played in where the GM house ruled the comrades into full characters they couldn’t use stats or skills and while your primary was alive. The idea was they were your spare character.  So if your main died you immediately hopped into your comrade and kept playing.  But even with a full sheet the only difference during normal play was they used the normal wound rules which was a mixed blessing.

So...

Is that all that is still around?  A Priest, Ratling, Heavy and Sergeant at my count for the moment.

Map Updated. You came in from the north and are now facing off against an emplacement just a bit south.

Re: Mess Hall: The Out of Character Thread

About 250 m.

I wanted to convey as well that this is not flat terrain. There is lots of scree and detritus. The canyon walls are honeycombed with crevices and tunnels from mining.

Re: Mess Hall: The Out of Character Thread

Yeah the 'slow' movement of characters outside vehicles makes me often try and get sprint as early as possible.  Then at least you can get some good distance in every other round, over every round if you don't mind fatigue that then penalizes you.
