The Lost Mine of Phandelver

Part 1: Goblin Arrows

In Waterdeep, the dwarven prospector Gundren Rockseeker was preparing for an expedition. He hired a disparate group of adventurers to escort a wagon full of supplies from there the small town of Phandelver.

En route, the Adventurers found that goblins had ambushed their employers' cart and taken him to their hideout. They pursued, defeating the goblins and their bugbear leader Klarg.

While they were able to rescue the hired bodyguard Sildar Hallwinter and retrieve the supplies, Gundren was not there. He had been taken by the mysterious Black Spider, under the orders of King Krol of Cragmaw Castle.

With no further means of tracking Gundren, and their strength tapped to the limit, the party decided to finish their journey. On to Phandelver.

The player characters will be beginning at second level.
