Hello I'm playing an odd PC she's a Scholar one of the societies greatest Philosophers. She won a prize and did a breakthrough a treatise on social/political philosophy. Her rank is 4 in Scholar.

Question how many Mustering Out rolls do I get?

Is a scholar a traditional woman's role in the society?

Ship role she has Administration, Advocate, Investigate so maybe Paralegal Officer or something along those lines.

Why is she on board maybe she's slumming awhile or bored with academics or a friend is on board.

She gets 1 mustering out roll for each term and one for, I think, every 2 ranks she has. Have to look that up unless someone has it already.

So seven rolls cash or benefits? She's a bit older but had a solid career path in her field.

That's fine benefits are fun and one I can add +1 to the roll from winning a major prize if I recall.

I'd like a friend on the ship anyone attend University or someone she met she has an Allie a clique in University and a Contact traveling about.

Still need an Allie but she's done. As for a ship job she has Advocate 2 and some paper pushing skills, dabble a bit in other areas. I'm thinking a Paralegal might work. She has two ship shares so is invested in the vessel.

Is that an in-game rule? According to the rulebook (or mine, at any rate) anyone can be a Contact or Ally.

Core rulebook p. 18, right-hand column, subheader Contacts, Allies, Rivals and Enemies: "Over the course of their careers, Travellers will have made friends and foes, and established ties with various non-player characters who may play a part in future adventures. There are four categories of such associates."

Anyone can be a contact or ally, generally NPCs but not necessarily.
