Elon Fujita is a scientist turned broker. He will be able to tell you the local spaceport  laws, keep inventory checks and pay the taxes. I am sure he will be getting into all kinds of situations outside of his skillset.

My character is keeping his ships boat.

It can also be used to increase your pension by 2kCr.

Hi all, A.C or "Ace" is looking for a roll along the lines of science officer, with many years in the field he is accomplished in many branches of scientific research and dealing with people of all types. Along the way he has picked up a little medical training and has a knack with computers. Ace is not the sprightliest person on the ship but his knowledge and experience see him through.

Two scientists.

Mine can do a bit of astronomy, but that doesn't make her a real scientist.

Are we going to be using the Connections Rule and what Skills Package are we going to be taking?

A merchant skill package, yes, we can use connections if you wish for an added skill.

Anyone have a suggestion for a skill package?

For connections, here's my list of events if anyone wants to jump in. Not sure if mishaps can be used for a connection, so I included those as well:

1st Term Summary: Marine Military Academy

Event: You become involved in a tightly knit clique or group and make a pact to remain friends forever, wherever in the galaxy you may end. Gain 1 Ally.

2nd Term Summary: Marine - Star Marine

Mishap: You are tormented by or quarrel with an officer or fellow marine. Gain that character as a Rival as he drives you out of the service.

3rd Term Summary: Scout - Explorer

Mishap: Injured. Roll on the Injury Table. Nearly Killed - Your Endurance is reduced by 1 and your Strength and Dexterity are reduced by 2.

4th Term Summary: Rogue - Enforcer

Event: You have the opportunity to backstab a fellow rogue for personal gain. Refused to backstab, gain them as an Ally.

5th Term Summary: Rogue - Enforcer

Mishap: A police detective or rival criminal forces you to flee and vows to hunt you down. Gain an Enemy.

6th Term Summary: Drifter - Wanderer

Event: A patron offers you a chance at a job. Accepted offer, owe the patron a favour.

7th Term Summary: Drifter - Wanderer

Event: A patron offers you a chance at a job. Accepted offer, owe the patron a favour.

8th Term Summary: Drifter - Wanderer

Mishap: Injured. Roll on the Injury Table. Lightly Injured -No permanent effect.

Excellent. So since Aric picked up his 2 levels of Profession during these terms, what would make sense? I initially took Belter, but am open to change it based on whatever makes the most sense for working on this ship.

Also, can I count this as a "connection" even though it's with an NPC?

Yes, you know the captain-owner. A man of great renown and fame and his ship, the Skander, which has a bad reputation of bad luck and have trouble finding the best crew sometimes for fear of the bad luck.

Everyone gets a 2,500Cr sign on bonus, 1,000Cr per month, and an equal share of 5% of the profits, unless you have shares which gets you extra shares of the profit.
