That weird black cyclone continues to travel between Millenia and the creature but moves to each one.

"I am fairly certain it is the ossuary, though I doubt the emperor would really care about this world, I mean it's not like you have gods running around here."

Barbara shrugged,  smiling awkwardly
"Well.....we do, technically,  have a bunch of gods,  but they're mostly fighting amongst themselves or partying with celebrities "

"Wait really you do ?" Millenia look dumbstruck.

Barbara smiled sheepishly
'Well, yeah.   Greek gods.   Roman gods.  Egyptian gods.  Mayan gods. Celtic Gods.  Native American gods.  I there were were even some sightings of some Polynesian gods at some point."
She shrugged
"Doesn't every world have that ?"

"I have only encountered a few worlds that have that, very few."

"One Humprhrey stayed at to help Hephaestus after we aided Hera in putting that pig Zeus in his place. Another was a beautiful water world Poseidon ruled. Oh and there were fake gods that ruled over a friends world that we needed to remove. They enslaved her people. I hate slavers !"

Barbara nodded
"I can understand that.   I try to avoid gods, but otherwise I don't take them too seriously "

"Uhm do you mind if I..." She points at the black line of entropy swirling about.
"Have a private chat."

Barbara shrugged, and shook her head, not understanding
"Um...with whom?"

The black path of doom engulfed Barbara and she can see Millenia clearly. All around is a view of everything in decay, entropic rot, change, evolution, even annihilation.

~Ahh that is better. HI ! Yeah you see I work for a really nice man on a great island kingdom. It predates a great ancient war. He is kind of the last of his kind, but what I wanted to talk about is I try and find goods for trade, or people who want to trade. I Like it, it allows me to enjoy my wanderlust. I have been to the Ossuary Empire before and Gods bones are incredibly valuable there. Real value not chincey stuff like gold and gems. One could ask for power there. If you believe in hmmmm mythology many gods have visited the Ossuary and found the people that live and lived there naturally worshipped them. Apparently not all worlds are the same for that kind of thing. Gods can become incredibly powerful there well somewhere along the history there the Gods and Goddesses had a big war. They and their followers wasn't pretty. Down to the last two gods and then someone got smart and offed the both of them.~
She smiles a bit.
~Well the world healed but even the gods bones are greedy for power and worship and you can't do anything really power wise without a bit of bone there. So in a way if that is what someone is after your world might be a...how to put it.~

Barbara was SUPER creeped out by the "tunnel of communication" with Millennia,  but tried to keep a proverbial stiff upper lip about it, for the mission.
She tried to ignore the way the world seemed to die all around her.  Was this what Millennia saw all the time!?!?  It was a horrible thought.

She tried to listen to the other woman, though,  and nodded in what she hoped was comprehension.
~so you're thinking that whomever might have taken Jessica might be after our gods?~

~Well it is a possibility. I mean as grizzly as it seems some people are not above harvesting such things. They did want the key to your world after all. I don't deal in stuff like that unless I come across a world and the gods already dead and just laying there. Hasn't happened yet.~

Millenia herself especially on this world and in fact everyone looks iconic even if they look like undead versions of themselves they are garbed in hero suits. (Please describe yours Dean)
Jill looks like a medic and has an over her head look. Xan looks like Xantastic and seems to be herself the most the least undead. The three creatures look to be in constant flux and look like they contain the same stuff as the black tunnel, in them but on a much lower scale. Millenia looks like an avatar of evolution and destruction but is garbed strangely heroically.

~Can you think of any other reason they might want the key to your world ?~

~i dunno. heck, I'm still new at this, remember?  i mean, my world has lots to offer, from advanced human and alien tech, magic, metahuman powers, and ancient civilizations.   But it's also pretty much the the only world i know, so i don't exactly have a huge perspective.   I'd have to know more about the bad guys ~

~Oh your world has a lot ! Ok I could be wrong then. Most worlds have maybe one or two of those things though usually none. I mean I could feel your world is more chaotic but didn't know it had all of those things.~

Barbara sighed with amused exasperation.
~yeah...we're kind of a handful, I guess.  My world us just kind of competitive, I suppose.  No one group wants to let the others win, so everyone just tries to outdo everyone else.~

~I just didn't want to discuss more in front of those three. An old friend once told me information is power. Bunch of other stuff too. She was some kind of hyper intelligent computer person. Smart, pretty and fast.~

~ah, yes, those can be interesting  to talk to.  when they're not plotting world domination~

~Ok did you want to say anything else in private before I cut the call ?~ She smiled.

~ honestly,  I'm not sure.  Is there any way to find Jessica? I'm presuming she's on another world?~

~Well it would make it so much easier if wait your little friend knew her. That might help. If I could get some kind of feel for her, and if we could get our blood hounds to get her scent we might be able to track her well.~

~Well don't let them get their hands on your key. We look and see if she had a wash bin or something of unwashed clothes so they can get a scent. I've never really worked with their kind I know of them but only that they are created by some ancient evil force known as the Dwimmerlak. Super bad people. Since then they have been used by all kinds of folks good and bad usually for assassinations. Occasionally for finding lost people but that one rarely. I am just hoping we can trust them. I usually give everyone a chance.~

  Dean’s hero suit is of black scales, each one edged with silver, with a hefty utility belt and a silver cape.  No cowl, just a mask of silver and black over his eyes.  Prominent on each hand are the iron knuckles.
