Before the mess I was giving Vamp time to react.  Thank you, Vamp for the kind words as well.  I'm still dealing with the issue but have a bit of me time in the evenings.  The situation as it stands.

It looks like Shin-ji went for two attacks/grabs; they are therefore both -3.  The 31-3=28 still succeeds, however.  So Shin-ji has Blue Hair by the wrist, and Blue Hair is holding Darina by the upper arm.

Meanwhile, Nikola swung at Green Hair with her brass knuckles, but rolled a 1 on the die, so Green Hair evaded her blow.

And finally, Tailgate pulled a gun and is trying to intimidate, but rolled poorly, meaning they are not going to buy it.  Essentially, they are going to call his bluff, though to be fair, they may not even have noticed yet since they are each fully engaged.

I will give Vamp another day now that this summary is here to do something and then will update the game and advance to the next round.

Out of curiosity, would anyone be interested in doing a sort of conversion from a CP2020 base to a CP RED base for CyberGen?  I wanted to know if I should bother expending time and effort.

I haven’t heard much good about Red. I haven’t seen it myself but many people I know aren’t that impressed.

I really wouldn't bother. I joined a quick game of it and was underwhelmed. It's not.... bad, per say, it just that there's so many other better systems.

It's not enough of an upgrade IMO to justify the purchase.

I'd be more inclined to try a PBTA conversion or something, maybe some kind of cross between Masks and Sprawl.

Hi I took the liberty of posting since vamp seemed to be busy, regarding to cyberpunk red I wonder if you mean like to update cybergeneration with the technology of cyberpunk red and a little bit off of the new setting.  if thats the case i do find it interesting to do a reskin, but not so much to eliminate the gangs and powers, also i prefer this cyberpunk systems than PBTA . but o guess im in minority here as well

Nikola, in this game the d10 can explode once.  So if you roll a 10 you can roll the die again and add it.  The maximum roll is 20 therefore.

Switching to a PbtA system would completely change the feel of the game.  I've played Masks and Monster Hearts and while I can see the appeal of that kind of game, I'm liking the PbtA less the more I play it.

CyberGen is based off of CP2020 in terms of Stats, Difficulty ranges, etc.  They simplified the combat and introduced the juvie skills that are 1/2 against a comparable adult skill, but it is otherwise CP2020.  I was thinking of doing something similar with RED instead: using the RED stats (a little different from 2020), difficulty values, etc.  Mostly because I am not playing 2020 anymore, only RED and so CyberGen is the odd ball for me.

Still, if the consensus is not to try it, I'm fine with that.

Biolimb crush is Damage Class 5; Punch is DC4, kick is DC5.  DC5 does damage from 3 to 10.

You roll 1d10 and add the Body Type damage modifier, for BOD 8 that is +1, and then check the d10 roll on the chart on p. 152 of the 2nd ed book.

I'm here as well.  Happy to see the game moving again.. i've been a little busy in the meantime, but to move the game forward i'm thinking maybe our success in standing up to those dudes gives us a better chance to advance in our investigation.. which i will need to read some older posts again to see what was exactly about.

Huge apologies for my absence. I've been dealing with chemo and all the not-fun things that come with having cancer (fuck cancer!). Diagnosis, surgery, and all the rest of the rubbish that followed have left me feeling very drained and mostly dead. Only mostly so I'm not ready to get in the cart just yet.

How's everyone else doing?

I'm sorry you've had to deal with that. I hope things get better for you and it goes in to remission or something.

Pretty sure the game is over, though. There was never that much posting in it except in spurts here and there, with long silences.
