Looks that way.

I'm a fly boy.

We also have a navy officer and an engineer.

I think we are all humans too.

Re: The Starport (OOC Area)

I wouldn't mind just jumping into the action.

Gamemaster:
As I prep for the adventure, do you want to start at the briefing where you all meet and get the assignment, or should we jump start things and get right into the action and the first mission?

The Trojan Reaches are just 16 subsectors around where it opens. The DM will tell us where we're starting and all that fun shite. Just thought I'd help with a link for everyone's reference.

Re: The Starport (OOC Area)

Character Sheets are almost done. Look them over and let me know if there are any obvious questions. I know most people aren't familiar with the system and rule questions will be addressed in game.

Take a moment to share a little history with each other and your personalities. You have known each other for a couple months. Mostly prep time getting ready for the mission, but it has been a couple weeks since you left the Imperial base.

Re: The Starport (OOC Area)

Hi everyone. As you probably have guessed by now, Imperial command types and I don't always see eye to eye. I do my duty and my job, I just don't always do things by the book. I tend to be a bit of a risk taker and enjoy my free time and shore leave a little too much.

I have been flying these subsectors for some time now. For a while I was a personal pilot for a Imp Diplomat travelling to the Aslan Heirate. I've never been anywhere near the Glorious Empire, and from what I hear, I have no desire to go.

Overall, a seem to be carefree and devil may care, not dedicated to my career or the will of the Imperium. However I am helpful, friendly and try to do the right thing to help the people living in the Trojan Reaches.

Is it possible that any of us have worked together before? Or perhaps we met in a more social environment?

Re: The Starport (OOC Area)

Daphne was born on Mora, the "gateway of the Spinward Marches". A gifted child from a middle-class family, she never considered a military career. In fact, she was studying Medicine, specializing in nanosurgery, and all her teachers agreed she would one day be a top cybersurgeon.

All changed the day she was approached by the good of a local warlord called Garuda. She was asked to install some illegal implants on said boss, in no uncertain terms. Garuda was not the kind of man who accepts a no for an answer, so she had to comply. The surgery was sabotaged by Garuda's second in command who wanted his position, but Garuda survived anyway and blamed Daphne for his near-death. Daphne narrowly escaped Garuda's death squad and enrolled in the Imperial Navy as a desperate way of escaping his revenge.

At the Naval Academy, Daphne discovered she had potential as an officer, and so did her teachers. Reluctantly at first and with more enthusiasm later, she embraced this new life and recently graduated as a lieutenant. Right after graduation she volunteered for a peacekeeping mission to the Trojan Reach, to put as many lightyears as possible between Garuda and herself. Sometimes she still misses her lost life as a surgeon, but the Navy is her new life.
