It just feels I complete if a great bow is just a bow then a great sword should just be a sword to.

I think it was missed ofc the list of weapons..... Because both great sword and Great bow is listed in the archetype but only the great sword is in the weapons list :(

Technically, I agree, but then they would need listings for all the racial staffs which are "just" quarterstaffs. It maybe a deliberate oversight because unless a character is specifically built, (Trade Prince or whatever the class is)  the Hunter is the only class in the book that uses a bow. It may also be a distinction to help the GM if mobs are armed with bows and they can't find the class. The equipment element across the archetypes is a bit more inconsistent than other areas. I'll have to see how it pans out overall, but I'm open to adjusting it.

Not looking to min/max just thought it strange there wasn't a great bow..... Saying that if you were happy to allow one to be 2+S like the great sword I wouldn't turn it down :)

But seriously will go with whatever you rule :)

I honestly don't know. I'll have to use Rule 0. Roll a dice and discuss afterwards.

I'll try and start an entry post soon; within the next day or so. My mind is a bit threadbare right now, but perhaps I should just go with what I have.

OOC: Discussion

I have a post mostly done but there are two things I'd like to check:
  1. Do we definitely know we're getting transport or are we waiting in hope for it (i.e. we've met with people on-site vs there's a prior arrangement we expect to be met and it could fail to turn up)?
  2. What 'structure,' for lack of a better way of putting it, should blank canvas interactions take? Is it okay to flesh out characters and details (i.e. Nirva's got to know a member of Alberich's retinue on the journey and specifically engages them, with me providing a name and scant details), or should we be working in broad strokes when not talking to established characters (i.e. Nirva approaches the group and poses an open question) or directly expressing our intentions OOC for you to follow up on?

I'm sorry that last one is a really overthink-y question, but that's just where my head goes when I'm a bit uncertain.

Update: I have a full post prepped for the world where we're not sure when to expect the coaches and I can toss out an NPC, but I have absolutely no issue with adapting if someone else is more confident and wants to post first. Don't feel you need to wait for me if you're in a position to get the ball rolling.

OOC: As far as the posse is aware, coaches are definitely coming. The investigation is no secret. The fact that there are Soulbound among them (you guys) is not known, but probably the posse know now; rather hard to make a Kurnoth Hunter unnoticeable outside the Living City.

Go ahead with some characters and details but if you're looking for something specific, like  Fyreslayer or someone more outlandish, run it by me first ^^

Posted something. Took some work to get something of this length out at the moment, but I decided it was the bare minimum I could do, after you posted your enjoyable pieces. So much more to say/tell, but the cost-efficiency dictated that I had to settle for this today =D.

I updated the character, adding a spell from the book and created one of my own. Eris really seems to form as a practical battlemage in my mind, one who is not stranger to the clash of battle and all the gruesome visages it has to offer. I also added a description to the character, hopefully I did not go totally overboard as I tend to get carried away sometimes.

BTW GM, could you add a character sheet to Eris, so that I can copy the mechanical bits and pieces there. I would also appreciate if you would be willing to add the "Lightweaver" as Eris' last name. More aesthetic in my eyes, when I read it from the left side of the posts =D.

I wouldn't worry about your description; I like it. That's the sort of thing I would usually aim for, but I'm having a bit of a hard time really pinning down the specifics of Nirva's look.

I'd also appreciate having the honorific added to my character's name if possible :)

This book is looking like a really nice addition at a glance. Lots of Talents looking to flesh out design space and give players more room to reinforce their character's identity.
