The Guardians - are the most well known superhero team in the world and are basically the equivalent of the Justice League or the Avengers. They do not answer to any particular government or nation, but are generally welcome in every nation practicing democracy and their adventures are international and beyond. There is no official leader of the team, with leadership passing between the members dependent on the mission or the circumstances. Merul and Night Hunter are the two most often argued as the team’s leader by fans. The members of the team are:

Kitsune – is the newest member and least known of the team. She is a shape-changer and capable of teleportation. She is multilingual.

Merul – is a nuclear physicist and should have been vaporized when an experiment went haywire and blew up his laboratory. Instead he gained the powers he now possesses of manipulating gravity and super energy expulsion: plasma. His costume is a dark red resembling Magneto’s. Merul is a tall, muscular African-American with premature gray hair. The tips of his grey hair are speckled with gold, silver and crimson glints.

Night Hunter – does not appear to be a super-human. He is exceptionally skilled and well-equipped with futuristic gadgets. Night Hunter is an experienced martial artist and marksman and likely a veteran of war believed to be an excellent strategist and master of espionage. (Night Hunter is the Batman of the team in ability.)

The Orange Oracle aka Pythia – is one of the most powerful psychics on Earth despite not being a native to Earth. Where she came from not even she knows. She was born fully adult from a meteor strike. She is humanoid in appearance, standing nearly 8 ft tall, with a beautiful, muscular physique. She has red-orange skin and flaming red hair. The Orange Oracle is enigmatic and her motives not always trusted by the public at large, though her history toward humanity is as a compassionate protector. She’s not just a powerful psychic, but also a very strong and very capable warrior.

Supersonic – is very strong and very fast, capable of breaking the sound barrier when in flight. His physical capabilities are reminiscent of Superman to a certain degree, though Supersonic is not nearly as powerful. Supersonic is both very handsome and very muscular. He’s arrogant, cocky and a risk-taker, though experience has taught him enough hard lessons for him to be less so now than in his youth.

Surefire – is a mechanical genius and often the inventor of the Guardian’s cool toys. He’s the team’s pilot and provider of support when the team is conducting an operation, be it support by fire to extraction.

Triton – is an Atlantean prince, but not the direct heir to the Atlantean throne. He is an ambassador for his people to the world above the oceans, though he’s not the only ambassador. Triton has the power to summon tentacles, growing from his body beneath his arms. He also has powers over Darkness and is equally adept out of water as he is in.  Triton is over 6 ft tall and muscular like a swimmer. His feet and hands are webbed and his skin is aquamarine. He’s hairless and his body is covered in primal patterned tattoos the color of squid ink. The tattoos are the source of his powers having undergone an Atlantean ritual.
