Location: Pirate's Galley Steakhouse

The Pirate's Galley Steakhouse isn't the fanciest, but it's known for large servings at decent prices. The space is kid- and family-friendly and fairly large to accommodate the dinner rush, with comfortable furnishings and an aquatic/ship's aesthetic to the decor that's obvious without being overbearing. It might seem an odd choice of theme since it's not a seafood restaurant, but that's due to the personal taste of its owner, who loves both steaks and pirates.

Besides being the owner, Pearl is also the head chef, but employs enough staff to keep things running when she's absent. She's considered a friendly and benevolent boss - or "captain" as she prefers to be addressed - even if she has a tendency to eat some of the inventory when the mood strikes. Perhaps due to hygiene concerns about an undead entity running the kitchen, she's also a stickler for food safety.

Checking his wallet, George flicks through the random paper collection, and happily finds a note tucked away for 'emergencies.'

"Well, I Could go home and have ...eh..this is an emergency. Steak house it is!"

*Following his nose to the nearest place smelling of searing, fat crisping, dead cow, he pushes open the door to the Pirate's Galley Steakhouse.

"Pirates?..heh....ok..cool..as long as they know proper rare.."

With Pearl out on a walk, the front of the house was being manned by her second in command, Aaron Potts. He was a hardworking, diligent sort, if a touch fussy for Pearl's taste - he still hadn't embraced the title of "First Mate Potts," for example. "Good evening, welcome to the Pirate's Galley," he said politely to the new arrival. "Table for one? Or perhaps you would like a seat at the bar?"

Behind him, the restaurant was busy and somewhat loud, a consequence of families coming with their children. It wasn't yet so crowded as to necessitate reservations from incoming patrons, though.

Looking around, and getting a feel for the place, Georg grins at the Greeter, amused at the slight awkwardness he seems to display in the Pirate uniform.

"Arh Matey, A seat at the bar methinks...too many sprats underfoot around yer tables." Snorting at his own joke, he looks at the bar. Nice choice of beverages.

"A good place to come for a feed and drink then? It's an emergency"

"Yes, it does get crowded at this hour," Potts said. Polite, but not attempting a pirate dialect of his own. "I'm sure you'll find the food and drink satisfactory. Please, come with me." He picked up a menu, then led George to the bar along the back side. "Here you are, make yourself comfortable and let Annie know what you'd like." He nodded his head toward the bartender and left the menu with George before returning to his position at the front.

George would find that the menu wasn't overly varied or exotic, nor especially thematic - items like the "Pirate's Booty Chicken Nuggets" were limited to the kids' section. The restaurant focused on steaks and cooking them well (in the sense of "good," not "well done") along with a healthy selection of appetizers and sides. There were also entree options for those looking for a change of pace or with dietary restrictions. The drink menu was also fairly varied, though with little in the way of top-shelf liquor.

"Something interesting from the tap Please, Annie was it?"
He smiles settling back into the barseat, after draping a well worn all weather jacket over the back.

"You decide whats Interesting." And runs his eyes down the menu.

George has just settled in, his eyes tracking over the menu as he decides what to get. There was a nice, constant buzz of conversation behind him as families at other tables conversed and ate. It was, honestly, a really nice place! Warm and welcoming and... ohhh... the smells that came from the kitchen were enough to set one's mouth to watering!

It was, at that point, that everything stopped. The air in the restaurant seemed to still and become heavier, the sounds became muted. And then, there was a clap and rumble. The windows of the Pirate's Galley rattled in their frames, and a few of the decorations on the walls fell to the floor. Outside, car alarms began to blare. Inside, the crowd seemed draw a collective breath and gasp in alarm, some folks starting to stand to see what was going on while others quickly wrangled their children.

"Sure," Annie said easily. She was just picking up a glass when the explosion suddenly hit, and wound up needing to focus on her balance just to keep from dropping and breaking it. "What on earth...?"

Some of the staff showed signs of panicking as well, but Potts kept his head. "Please stay calm, everyone," he announced as he headed to the center of the restaurant to address the patrons. "In the event of an unknown explosion it's best to leave the area, so please make your way to the exits in an orderly fashion. Please don't worry about the bill for your food." He then began directing foot traffic in an effort to keep people from stampeding or panicking and freezing in place, as well as directing one of the waiters to go in back and dial 911.

What in hell!!?
Knocking the barseat over in his rush to his feet,he takes in the chaos quickly.

"Hey mate...dunno if sending them out right now is a great idea. We dont know whats going on out there. Could be more bombs, or fires"

The noise of car alarms, smell of steaks still cooking, and the panicking movements of the patrons put his teeth on edge..somewhat literally. Best focus on the stuff happening, think, not react, dont get excited....

"Please get em all to quiet down, and i'll stick my nose out and see if its safe before you heard em all out."
