I want this to be less of a "game" in the traditional sense and more of a collaborative writing effort. Yes, it is a game in that I will have a plot happening in the background that the players can pursue, if they wish. However, that is not the point of this effort. It's a collaboration. That means that everyone is a "GM," to a certain extent.

So, here's a bit more about what I expect and how I operate:

1. Nothing is written in stone. All of this is imaginary. We're just writing and playing and having a good time. If we find that something has happened which we don't feel comfortable with or feel like it could be changed to be more interesting, I am totally fine with retconning. Now, this doesn't mean that things will always go well. I expect that there will be challenges and heartache and all sorts of things to make our characters' lives interesting. But, the main focus here is to have fun with writing. If we find ourselves in a corner, it's totally okay to back up and change things, as long as everyone agrees.

2. Collaboration! We're all in this together. I fully expect for the players to talk amongst themselves via PM or in OOC to set up scenes and move things forward. This isn't about me directing all of you as I see fit. This is about us moving a story ahead together.

3. Change can be good. If I move the story in a way that you don't like, it is perfectly okay to come to me and say, "You know, I'm not entirely happy with how this is going. I think I would like it better if [x thing happened.]" 95% of the time, I'll probably agree to roll with it, as long as it doesn't interfere with someone else's plotline. On the other hand, if you come to me and say, "I don't like this. Think of something else." I'm going to tell you to shove it and stick to my original plan. The key is to present me with an alternative.

The main thing to keep in mind is that I am looking for a cooperative experience.
