Geography and Climate
Bellhollow sits at the base of a tall range of mountains, cradled up against the foothills. As such, it tends to get heavy rains and snows. It can often also get some fairly high winds that can make flying aircraft or even flight spells somewhat tricky. It's not enough to be an imminent danger all the time. But... there have been instances of unexpected winds that catch folks by surprise.

The winters tend to bring a great deal of snowfall to the mountain range. There is a thriving tourist trade in skiing and snowboarding.

Plenty of rivers for rafting, canoeing and fishing.

Hunting happens, though it is regulated by a local druid circle.

Bellhollow

Academic
University of Bellhollow: Accredited university that offers both mundane and magical classes. As is the case in most colleges, disciplines are housed in their own buildings. There are men's, women's, and co-ed dormitories. Several apartment buildings specifically rented out to students are along the streets nearby. There are also a plethora of small cafes and cheap eateries nearby.

Entertainment

Parks
Gullbend Park: Major park where many festivities are held. Is maintained by the city with the help of botanists and earth witches. Contains a wide variety of plant life that is kept healthy and blooming throughout most of the year. Named after Arthur Gullbend, a renowned botanist who ventured beyond The Veil to bring back exotic flowers for the city.

Businesses
The Pirate's Galley Steakhouse: Not the fanciest place, but it's known for large servings at decent prices. The space is kid- and family-friendly and fairly large to accommodate the dinner rush, with comfortable furnishings and an aquatic/ship's aesthetic to the decor that's obvious without being overbearing. It might seem an odd choice of theme since it's not a seafood restaurant, but that's due to the personal taste of its owner, who loves both steaks and pirates. Closed indefinitely due to damage caused by a nearby explosion.

Tutti i Polli: Located across the street from the Pirate's Galley, this is a fine chicken establishment. They serve a wide variety of chicken dishes but are most famous for their fried chicken. Crispy, juicy and delicious! It has a homey environment, complete with red and white checkered tablecloths and candles on the tables. Rumored to be a mafia front, but this has not been confirmed by a credible source.
