Ryan Blake:
Not sure where I'll put in an appearance just yet, possibly at the book signing. Should anyone run across Ryan, he's got a watchful/waiting vibe that can be read as anything from 'he's hiding something,' or 'he's looking for something/someone.'

Is this a book signing that Ryan's doing? What kind of books does he write? I'm wondering if Pearl might show up there :)

In reply to Pearl Dunn (msg # 53):

I'm sorry, I thought the GM had mentioned the local B&N. I would not be the author, but it would be a decent starting place.

Re: OOC

Ah, okay, no problem :) Pearl's not a big reader but she could pop in to look at the coffee-table picture books if nothing else.

Re: OOC

alright! I need to get Dalion to meet Pearl so I guess The book sign is a good opportunity to do that.

Re: OOC

Come to think of it, is there a thread that says what time of day it is currently? I can have Pearl pop into the bookstore regardless but it would be good to know how busy her restaurant would be when she left :)

Re: OOC

Well the festival is active at night and Dalion just finished a meeting with Sienna and Solstice and had dinner with them, he's gonna leave the park and keep looking for his objective.

My best guess would be that it is just later on the same evening.

Re: OOC

That works for me! The festival hadn't begun, yet. So, let's say it is around 6:30ish in the evening. (Assuming most people eat around 5-6PM).

I'm keeping an eye on things, today. But, it's a family day. So, I'm only kinda-sorta around.

Re: OOC

Well, Ryan's appeared at the bookstore. He'll eventually make his way to Pearl's place for dinner.

Anyone familiar with magic will know he's a magician of some kind.

I use 'magic' to describe spells, etc. ... and 'magick' to describe the raw power. That's a distinction made where he comes from, so don't worry about how you spell it.

Re: OOC

I'll post a bit more, tomorrow, to keep things rolling in the park. I'll probably say that, during the time it took to eat and have that conversation, the staffers are wrapping up the set-up and the entertainment is arriving for pre-festival prep.

I'll wait for Ryan to post since what he does will affect Pearl's next action :)

Re: OOC

Cool.

By the way, when Pearl told "the man" to call the cops, was she directly talking to Ryan?

Re: OOC

More or less, she didn't turn her head away from Dalion to address him, but she did know he was there since he (Ryan) spoke to him.

I suppose it would be the GM's call if some other onlooker made the call though!

In reply to Pearl Dunn (msg # 67):

As noted, Ryan has an issue with 'the authorities' and deferred to a store employee.

(He's not exactly from around these parts, and he's not talking about your friendly neighborhood cop ...)

(And no, this is not social commentary. Got a bunch of police officers in the family, and I'm on a citizen's advisory board where I live.)

Re: OOC

Oh, I have no OOC problem with folks playing their characters :) Pearl's just in a hurry and saw Ryan wasn't already on his phone, which was about as much analysis as she cared to do under the circumstances.

Re: OOC

At this point I'm guessing we'll need the GM to play out NPC reactions before the scene proceeds :)
