Genesys

FFG Game system.  While Genesys covers Terrinoth, Android, Keyforge, as well as Star Wars Edge of the Empire, Age of Rebellion, and Force and Destiny and other smaller settings, this game will not.  This is a generic fantasy setting that will be built upon the back of adventures.  Random Chaotic adventures like we used to do it in the old days when we didn't' know nothin' and didn't know better.

And we hope to have fun doing it.

Genesys

About the Game:

Welcome to a poorly run game of Genesys.  Have I run Genesys before? No.  Have I run AD&D before?  Of course, many times.  What has one got to do with the other?  I remember when I was cutting my teeth on 2nd ed.  That feeling of excitement, of possibilities, of creating a character and adventuring.  What else has given me the same feeling of "I can't wait to get into this" through the years?  Some old White Wolf games, a few incarnations of Gamma World, and RIFTS (there I said it).  But it's been a long time... a long time.  I made my own RPG Projects; I played board games, card games, dice games, and then recently Keyforge.  FFG then announced Keyforge in Genesys, and I said, "What is this Genesys thing?"

The feeling came back.  It had only been asleep.  Listening to a few podcasts, reading the core rule book, pouring through websites.  I want to adventure, but again, what does AD&D have to do with anything, other than reminiscence?  Resources.  A short stack of old adventure supplements and dungeon magazines that never got played.  I'm curious how they would feel in Genesys.  The old red book from the old red box felt different but fun.

So brave adventurers, some world building and game building is necessary.  Some assembly required.  Break out your writing and your narration skills.  Let's role.

Genesys

RTJ:

This is set in a generic fantasy realm.  Use the Genesys System to make a Fantasy character.  If you use the core rule book that's easy for me to find.  If you use another source, I'll have to try and find it if your character is too far out of the norm.  If it helps, think about D&D characters you might want to play.  And so long as we have the rules for it, some weird races may apply.  It's a generic fantasy world after all, and I don't know what races live there yet, other than like most fantasy worlds, it's majority human.  Classes can be fringe weird as well so long as there is some source I can reference.  No guns, no computers, this is primarily medieval fantasy.  Borderline steampunk is possible.  And I do have my old manual of the planes and a couple books of planescape around somewhere.

Indicate how you spent your XP, please.
